Midi conversion does work, doesn't it? I mean for when the only instrument is a keyboard, so there's none of the bs that gets in the way of creating fake notes. What do you people use?

Just got a rtx 3070 and I want to make it do some serious doom-related performing. But I figure most people make textures at the same resolution as those in the iwads. Also are small copyright infractions allowed on idgames? E.g music in your levels from obscure games made in the last 10 years, like a jrpg boss theme (Waveform audio, not midi compositions of it) Didn't somebody on here get permission from a band to use their very-much copyrighted music in her levels?

What's the name of that wad with amazing architecture but no enemies? Made after 2015, performance isn't that great, I think it won a cacoward but none of the names seem familiar.

I've noticed some wads that are attached to a post instead of linked to on idgames, what happens when the forums go down? Not ones that are hosted elsewhere, ones that have an actual attachment in the post with the doomworld domain name.

I'm not all that familiar with wget, can you remember a specific wad that hasn't changed filename after an update, so I can check whether my client skipped it? And I guess I want a mirror because it's a bit silly to download a frequently used wad multiple times when you have a local copy.

What was used to generate the textured maps in the strategy guide?

When someone updates a version of their level that's on idgames, do they use the same filename? I'm a bit confused on how to get a ftp client to overwrite only files that have been changed since the 2020 mirror I just downloaded, and skip the rest.

This is in coreftp - only client I know of that allows multiple files at once and/or multiple connections per file. Or is this just how ftp is, and I'll have to put up with slow, sequential downloads?

May I suggest a 0.01 option for those really, really slaughtery (and invasion) maps?

I just thought the concept of judging wads by their gameplay was interesting and am curious about how often you'd be wrong.
