  1. I just had a fun day at the "office". Basically, since my brother-in-law started up a business with me, we've been deciding on some basic stuff(like the company name). I came up with the name, and now it's become my job to apply my superior artistic skill to creating a logo.

Now, firstly: if I hear "that's nice, but I had this picture in my head..." one more time, there's going to be a face-sized dent in the wall. I realize this is his project and all, but I've gone through about 7 drafts of our company name all flashy-looking and each radically different enough to evoke some sort of approval(in theory). My first design, a subdued implied-shadow look, wasn't aggressive enough. My second looked like it was "drawn in crayon". My third was "in the right direction, but not". And so on, and so on, and so on, and so on.

My current design is definitely my final one, even though his approval rating hovers between half and full. I'm just going to do minor stuff like change the color scheme or background icon in the hopes that it's something subtle throwing him off. I'd like to share my drafts with you all, but that might have to wait until we have the domain registered.

We both knew going into this that he was a control freak. What makes this combination so volatile is the fact that I'm a bit of a recursive algorithm when it comes to following directions.

      That's nice. But um, heh.

Well, I've finally settled on a design. I used an italic outline font against a pyretic(?) backdrop, which gives it a very aerodynamic feel. Overall, the company logo looks like it was shot out of a cannon.

Sadly, the deadline passed, and the website has a placeholder page featuring a font he created in Ulead in 8 minutes.

EDIT: Woo, my logo is up now! Revel in its sexiness.

EDIT 2: I was scolded for being undiplomatic. That should read "OUR logo".
