1974 Porsche 914 1.8L
It just came today, straight from Utah. I've been waiting for this baby for over almost a month. It's better than your car.

I said I was kidding. I'm not putting a Chevy engine in my Porsche.
Your car is just begging for one. A friggin Fiero 2m4 could kick your car's ass. But I suppose it doesn't matter. You're officially the man now by owning a Porsche.
I could buy a pretty nice 944 right now for less if I wanted to. I suppose I'd be the man because I'd own a Porsche as well.
Much like the dude that thinks he's the man in his Ferrari Mondial. His bottom of the barrel Ferrari just puts him on a level above everybody else.
I think your car is just screaming for a V8 conversion. But I assume you can't do the labor yourself. That, and sourcing all the parts, proper engine mounts, and adapter plates.
Not to mention a machined flywheel and new transaxle because the existing tranny would shit itself under the power of the motor. Not to mention wiring, custom exhaust fabrication, and all that other fun stuff.
I imagine it's a fun little car, but it still doesn't make you the man in my book.
Wow. Who pissed in your Cheerios this morning?
I'm not putting a Chevy engine because I want to keep it stock as much as I can. That's kind of what you're expected to do when you have a car with a history-- that is, NOT ghetto-rig it up like a Honda Civic. Hell, I'll be broken up as it is cutting into the dash for a new stereo. They should, however, have a 2.4L V6 for this and I'll be looking into it sometime in the future.
You could go get yourself a 944, sure. You could probably get it up to 500hp, too. But that's not the point.
P.S. Pics of the Ferrari Mondial plz.
