  1. With the recent release of Oblivion, and the upcoming release of some other rather kickass games that require good computer specs, i've looked into upgrade my computer. Compare.

    Current:
    AMD Athlon XP 2200+
    768 MB DDR 333mhz RAM
    ATI Radeon 9600SE 256MB AGP

    What I want:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820220030 (X2)
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130275

Wise choices? I'm getting conflicted infos about the video card being AGP in the channel so im looking for more insight into my choices, which is the maximum my motherboard (concerning ram and cpu) and wallet can handle.

Upgrade went without a hitch. Noise level went up a tad from the new fan whizzing in there, but it's nothing big. Im loving this upgrade, can play Oblivion at 30 FPS on ultra high detail, shadows and all, im quite happy. :D

Runs fine? AMD64 3500 here, 6600GT, 1gb ram, and on 800x600 I get about 20 fps outside average.

      why?

I have grass turned off and made various little changes. I'm not worried about running it at the highest settings possible.
