I can't wait for Harry Potter to die. But knowing my luck they'll just make another sequel book about the Terminator going back in time to save him. Goddamn it.

The books took the Doom plot in an interesting direction, though I'm done the entire series (read the first three and started in on the last). It's really interesting to see what the authors wanted to do with the storylines, and some of it is quite jarring.

Apart from all these responses, I was playing Doom64 once years back, and a Cacodemon I missed sneaked up behind me and bit me twice. My health went from 100 to 62 to 2 (!). Then a Baron of Hell threw a fireball at me from the opposite end of the level after I wasted the Caco, and killed me. I was really confused at first, since it all took about eight seconds. Then I got pissed.

Back when I was 15 and 16, heavy metal was my life. I used to be fused psychologically to the genre. Now that I lightened up, all I can do is look back at the music - and my past self - and laugh. AAAAANNNNGEL OF DEEEEEAAAAAAATTHH!!!!!!!!111`~ GOTH SLAYER SATAN NAZI BLAAARGHGGG *guitar solo*

Wings3D is a really nice program, and it'd be nice if it got a little more publicity. Anyways the new map looks stellar. Looks like a totally different game with a totally different engine.

This movie is going to kick ass. As long as the audience doesn't go into it with expectations of faithful rendition to the games. We like Doom because it's a user-friendly slugathon. I'm rooting that the movie is of the same ilk.

I played that game about 10 years ago when it came out for the Playstation. It was pretty cool, but also pretty challenging.

Put it in the Doomsday/Data/JDoom/Auto folder, and disable any other model packs to play it properly. Can't wait to play this, Sitters. Cheers.

I think console games will be obsolete in the near future. As they get more and more advanced, they start to act and work more similarly to computers, until eventually they'll be nothing more than excessively limited-in-usefulness PCs. Hackers already have no trouble porting video games to play on computer emulators, even from systems like PS2 and XBOX. The video game industry's success will always be circumvented by the computer gaming world.
