    yeah true you play one of them you've played all of them they all share the exact same linedefs and sectors and sidedefs lump, it being 10 maps mostly because i cant fit a map 10x as long without blockmap breaking and restarting from the same point every time sorta steps toward muscle memory practice and away from practicing on the spot judgement of momentum and platform positions but tbh i cant claim to have improved much at that because i still suck at dotw02 lol

    pwk.wad 10 garbage maps of randomly generated platforming took me a while to figure out pwk meant platforming w key apparently these are from january this year but anyway i lost the udbscript for this plus a bunch of other scripts that i forgot to back up after a hasty windows reset made mainly for practice 64x64 platforming (i was practicing to demo dotw02 at the time), you can d2all the whole thing with the w key taped down. no sr50 required. stopping on platforms makes these much easier. misc: sorry that when i finally post maps its this stupid shit

I used to block them but now I actively put glides (also they're 32px gaps not 24)and deathslides in if they either make for a fun or challenging enough speedrun that isn't an RNG gambling run because they never actually affect the first playthrough experience of the map if hidden well enough. SR50s are common knowledge to an extent so they would either be way too simple to not be mistaken for intended secret progression or way too precise to be fun so personally I don't put them in. Same for item bumps. If I'm mapping for something that the player would expect tricks then ofc I would put in tricks, even the obscure ones.
  13. Compatiability levels. MBF11 already had different light calculations that made boom maps with light transfer look different that carried over to MBF21, so not a lot of reason to expect maps to look or function correctly when you have the wrong compatiability.
