According to the website, "To install on OSX, get mac ports and then run: sudo port install crispy-doom". You might also be able to get it to run under wine. Note that many applications are built for non M1 macs, so this might be the reason your stuff isn't working. Alternatively, you could get GZDoom as it has M1 macOS support.
