So I've been talking with my friends lately(who happen to be really hot girls) and almost every single one of them says that they're ugly and fat. Hell they're skinnier than me and don't look fat at all, not to mention look really hot too. However this does lean on the good side cause this somewhat make them want a guy badly sometimes and who would be better for the job?(Ok so I lied, but I wouldn't be a jerk off during that period) All in all I really think that they are just way too self conscious about themselves and don't realize that they look good and should be proud of it. Who's with me?

In nature shows, there's the female that always wants to look good and the male that wants to impress. Watch more discovery channel and you'll get the idea.
I do agree that girls are very influenced by magazines.
Uh.. no.. the females in nature are generally always less colorful / pretty. They wander around and eat and do their own thing. Sometimes they signal the male that they are ready to mate, but usually they just come into season and wait for suiters. They certainly don't waste any effort on 'looking good'. -
Well, most animals value scent or hearing more than sight, except birds perhaps. Also, humans often glorify the male body, just like other animals do.

I have found that the further back you go, the larger the 'desirable' women were. It seems that back in the day the healthy (or big boned) woman were the better lay, I'm talking from Caveman to Viking. In the books I have read of the 1800's the women of desire were described as 'wholsome' and 'hearty' both meaning big. Even Marylin had a few pounds, and now we worship mtv's skeleton warriors. Not exactly, but you could say that rural or hunter cultures tend to put more emphasis on the "bigger" woman, and urbanized (or civilized) ones the other way round. Plus it seems like the fatter women are related to fertility... in urban environments the need to reproduce is lesser and motherhood is replaced by sex-play and the prolongation of youthfulness.
