Read the Shimmering effect section. That might explain the lack of flickering. -
When I reach the section where you teleport before the blue key, I am taken down to a platform where a cyberdemon kills me during a cutscene. There's nothing I can do to get past this. Does anyone know of a way around this?

Is there any page that has pictures of the JDoom models? I searched but couldn't find any. I would like to know what they look like before I download those huge model packs.

I tried to play the 21:51 demo, but it keeps desyncing (soon after the first cutscene). I'm using ZDoom 2.0.5.2, so I don't know what the problem is. Any suggestions?

Spechits, Reject and Intercepts Overflow Lists

I didn't see this in the Intercepts table, so I figure I'll mention it here: h2323105.lmp contains an intercepts overflow, but it was recorded with an early version of GLBoom that didn't have emulation, so make sure it is off. -
When playing certain wads with GLBoom, I noticed that there's some graphical glitches that don't occur with software rendering. For example, in the red key area in HR Map 9, I see a yellow line; also in Map 20, the invisible structure with the Cyberdemon is painted with the sky texture. Are these due to OpenGL limitations, or are they bugs that can be fixed?

The reason is simple: ZDoom removes voodoo dolls, so the player has nothing to telefrag.

I think autodetection is broken. 30ev5534.lmp desyncs without the -gameversion final parameter, but it plays back fine with it. I'm using the latest SVN build.

Would it be possible to partition your hard drive and have the two OSs be WinXP and the (true) DOS from a Win98 CD, without installing Windows 98? (I'm asking so I could play Vanilla Doom; that's why I posted this in Doom General instead of EE.)

I agree that it is most noticeable with translucent objects, but does anyone notice a change of color with the opaque walls (like from gray to green)?

How far could you get in the Hexen demo wad? I don't know if I missed something or if the demo just ended. I'm not able to go any farther because the teleporter behind Gate 3 doesn't work.

Pausing problem and misc discussion (from KS thread)

I was wondering if anyone knows why pausing a demo at an intermission screen during playback causes it to desync (in PrBoom). -

I have a desync to report: Level 26 in 30nm2956.lmp, the C-N NM record. PrBoom-plus plays it back correctly, and it's a C-N demo, so I assume there's something wrong with Chocolate Doom.
