    Custom Marathon Monsters

Not the best for balancing, but it can still be fun. More people need to know about the marathon series.

NO MORE 3D CURSED MODELS FOR DOOM

At this rate we're gonna see modders popping out doom eternal quality remakes of doom 1 and 2 running on zdoom by 2028.We've finally found someone who makes actually good 3d models of doom enemies, Like Ultimatedoomer66 said, if this had a bit more animation to it, this could genuinely be better than the 2016 imp design when it comes to balancing similarity to the original art, while still looking realistic. You've done a fantastic job so far.

Tyrant of hell, I remembered resident evil existed, so I thought of this fucker. Here's an attack state for him.

Cacoknight still looks great. IF you want to make it more intimidating, try adding some darker hues to the skin, and give the eye a slit.

Here's the second stage of the big guy I posted earlier. It seems a diet full of rockets is a good way to lose weight... and muscle.
  6. Yes, I will gladly create a weaponless version of the mod. A bit of a warning though, The weapons I did add are intended to function as armor piercing super weapons, as rare variants will have a very high amount of armor, making them insanely tanky without using those special weapons. Low tier monster variants, such as the imp, demon, and undead will have very little or no armor. Bosses and greater demon spawns may have up to half their perceived health in armor, with one class of enemies having over 90% of their health in armor. I can tone down the aforementioned enemy class by slicing down their health pool, if you think it would be a good edition.

Thanks, I've only heard and seen a bit about cruelty squad, so I kind of thought you meant the sprite looked off. Nice to know you like it. I'm also making a second and third phase. The second is when some of the cybernetics are seen, as all his fat, skin, and some muscle tissue are blown off, revealing a much bulkier set of cybernetics that are hidden under the skin. The third one is going to be a robotic endoskeleton. The megasphere will also change to a dark grey/ black hue, except for the red eyes, and then into a "noble-sphere", as by then the mancubui's souls will have been diluted and mixed in with all the supercharge essence, turning it into a container of a power similar to the unadulterated soul of a Baron. The noble sphere will actually drop once the boton dynamic reject(endoskeleton) is destroyed, giving the player 500 health/ 500 mega armor, a permanent increase in the maximum player health cap to 500, and minimum to 300. Noble-sphere

I probably should have made a better border between his megasphere and the rest of his body. He's looking real goofy now that you mention it. I should probably add in a bit of a bit of red for transition and scale the sprite up a tiny bit.

So, I downloaded pro-motion a couple of days ago, made a few sprites, and here's a sprite from enemy idea I had. It's supposed to be a much larger and more powerful variant that was made from the corpses of a few mancubi by a gang of archviles who found discarded mark ii mancubi cannons, a shit ton of left over soulspheres, and some cyberdemon cybernetics. The megasphere in the center is a collection of the souls of those dead mancubi, and it's supposed to warp into a much more powerful health-sphere variant after it's defeated, because it absorbs the spiritual essence that's been injected into it's new body, after said body is destroyed.

Which monsters do you prefer as they were in their concept art?

it's on page 304. About the boss information, I don't know if it ever was intended as one, and there probably isn't much information about it's status as a final boss when this was drawn. I was just stating that the design seemed like one that would be intended for a very, very powerful boss/ demon, with a slightly different, and much heavier attack than the Archvile that got in. Sorry if I mislead you, I didn't mean for my opinion on the design to sound like an actual snippet of info about doom in it's earliest stage of development.

I just found out the image I remembered but couldn't find when I was making this post. Found it from a post made by revenant100. I think this is one of the earliest and most archvile designs, predating even the tubed mask. It also seems to be the polar opposite of clay/latex model design, as it completely ditched the nose for a vented, bony, and almost shell like head. With how ominous and intimidating this design was, it seems like map 30 of doom 2 could have turned out a lot more like Valiant's Map 30. Hell, considering this could have overlapped with doom I's development, this guy could have even been the final boss instead of the mastermind.

I can see that. It's like the marauder, except if it was a fellow marine, instead of a sentinel

I feel like the hellhounds would be similar to eviternity's nightmare demons, except faster and with a slightly lower damage per bite.

Man, that's a pretty intense looking demon, too bad it didn't get implemented.
  15. Info for future updates: I might add in content that was originally made for "Hell-storm: The Dark Ascension" to fill in the gaps. Some of those actors might get removed if they're disliked and I find some monster from the second episode that would fit better. also, I might make a second post for the randomizer if I feel like a future version has deviated enough in complexity. The theme is going to stay the same though.
