    Newest update to Blackout Berserker Beatdown (working title). Still haven't fixed the music, glass, or pistol. These are all just updates I made in July before my computer had a total meltdown. Best in DOOM sector lighting.     I'm very new to this kind of thing. I messed around with Godot. I made a little top down shooter. But I struggle with scripting. The vocabulary, everything. It's hard to get a foothold.

    @Bandita Nope. That and breaking glass (one of two vanilla texture exceptions), are the two main things I need to figure out. Edit: I also need to figure out how to start the first map without the pistol.

    @Bandita Oh yeah, share that sweet half baked content. We need that to work together. I think we should play each other's maps when we can. Besides, it's not like it's gonna spoil anything. This isn't what I'd call a hot thread. I might get rid of "Welcome to Hell" altogether. It was made before the project started, and at this point I feel like it's gonna be wedged in and mess up the flow. I see that you are doing a Gory hell, which would fit in AFTER the map I'm currently working on. I want to make an autoscroller down a river of blood that ends in a lake of blood that goes into a mountain of gore. Mostly environmental hazards with a battle in the lake of blood. The level ends when you go into the cave in the side of gore mountain. That could lead right into yours. The River of blood will be a short level with no weapon intro. Basically a fun, gimmick level to bridge the gap between you and Vlad. OK, yeah. I'm getting rid of "welcome to hell". Vlad can continue making an above ground hell level. Then I do the river of blood. Then you do the first gory hell level.

    @Vlad cool tower, it's coming together nicely. Good use of darkness. I love hiding enemies in the shadows so they fade in from the darkness. Now it's time to just play around with the lighting. Again, take your time and make spooky, paranoid vibe, which you're already zeroing in on. We are in no rush here. Using the color of the sector lighting to set the tone of the player character while using dynamic lighting for the environment. Cool. I'll ask Bandita what look they are going for so you know how to end your map. "Welcome to Hell" is old school fire and brimstone and your map is looking more like the industrialized hell, so we will need a transition between the two styles. NBD, just need to bear it in mind. This is a good start. Thanks for the update.
