Well I am slow in getting through the game, just got the plasma gun and such last night and getting further. I got to the fist point where the foot prints are, scared the shit out of me. Damn. God this game is gettin better each time I play it.

King of silly to have to do this. I hope they patch Doom 3 and make a browser that you can just pick the map from and run it that way.

Damn, I got playing last night and forgot to install the first mod. I need to do that.

Hope it don't spit out a backup disk and say "thank you for backing up. goodbye" or something like that. heh

I don't see the problem with any of the demons. I mean compare the imp now to the imp in Doom and Doom II. HUGE improvement. The lost souls are different, but really cool and I LOVED how they were introduced. Haven't ran in a hell knight, but to me, from all the screen I have seen, the Mancubus is the only disappointment. I don't like it's face. Other than that, I love it all. Just my opinion.

Well I want a cco-op mod for lan parties, so I would like to know the legit ones. Damn cd key stealing fuckers.

I thought this to. I am not far in the game cause I have to work and such, but I have done that on all the computers I can.

Nice. I didn't care about the disappearing corpses, but Doom and Doom II had all the bodies and this is cool. Plus more blood.

I have a 5900XT oc from BFG and I play 1024x768 at medium. High stutters some, but I think system ram could help (have 512). At medium and 1024x768 it is beatutiful and really when it was on high, couldn't tell a difference. Yes the 5900 is enough.

I don't use AA and I don't notice the loss. I think AA in the Doom 3 engine is a waste, but that is my opinion.

Great system. The 9600 will not let you go high detail and maybe not high rez, but you can play Doom 3 just fine.

Still doesn't matter that I am new, my post was relavent. Look at it, me and you are going back and forth, but anybody else really posting? No, most are playing. Thus my first post came off assy I admit that, but I was right: many people are playing and won't post on the topic of a demo. ;)

Well deep down, all reviews are opinions (well mostly). I talk to gamers, not read reviews. If it is fun, it is fun, if not, then not. Takes away from the scoring system.

Great post (first one). Doom is the shit. It started all the games we see today. Many critisize Doom 3 cause they can and really don't have anything else to do. Doom 3 is almost perfect. If people don't like games like Doom 3, then that is fine, but they shouldn't bash it. I don't like comparing Doom and Half Life. HL is a rip off of Doom and I never liked it. I tried 2 or 3 times to set down and go through the game, but just tired of it. Anyway glad to see that somebody that is not a teenager (26 here) appreciates Doom 3 and what it stands for.

Painkiller is the same thing, just more stupid monsters. :) Really deap down, the gameplay is similiar: you blow shit up/kill shit. They are both linear but have different styles. I like Doom 3 better.

So how does the co-op act? Buggy or smooth? Oh what weapons/ammo and the cut scenes?

It is just you don't like Doom 3's gameplay and want Painkillers faster action.

Well there is already SO MANY shadows in the game, don't need your own mess you up.

Ok the guy said you had to get those small boxes that had the figure offer WAY BACK, but I didn't get the box so no figure. *sigh*

I playe the Painkiller demo, just like serious sam. It is very repetitive and had only 4 weapons. Doom 3 is a different experience: to scare the sh*t out of you. Really they are different things since Painkiller is a fast mass killing game and Doom 3 is a horror game.

Sorry for flaming, but me being registered for one month means nothing. I have been on many forums and had 1000's of post and I have been on forums waiting for games to come out, so I do know how it works. My first post wasn't a flame, but it came off that way. Amen to the post above. I am SO D@MN TIRED OF HEARING ABOUT THE FLASHLIGHT!!!! I love it. Sure a couple time I wished I had a light on my gun, but it was the scare factor and guess what? It worked!!! Doom 3 is perfect, almost. God I love this game.

I was just stating the facts. Most people are playing and don't care about the demo. I mean that is that. I don't care if you liked my post or not cause I was just stating my opinion and then you start something. Plus if you want to call names, do it somewhere else. I mean seriously, if people paid attention to this forum they would know that most people here are not posting but playing. It was booming here till Doom 3 starting going on the shelves, then deadsville. DUH!! People are playing. I understand those that don't have the game want the demo, I guess they need to wait even though it sucks for them (I feel for them). But I am going to state my opinion one more time for you since you are slow and can't understand it: Most people on this forum have the game and won't reply to this demo thread and even if they do, they are not going to worrying about a demo since they have the game already. Call me what you want, I stated my opinion now get over yourself. I meant no offense to the thread starter but I don't have to have your approval of my posts. End of discussion.
