It's interesting how there's people who believe this map was created with too much HOL. While others seem to think that it's not inspired. Here's the thing, even if you don't like the map... that's okay! Even if you think the map borrows too much from different mediums. That's okay too! Guys! It's a freakin' MAP! Okay? It's not important whether you LOVE or HATE it. Just experience it, enjoy it, accept it, believe that you had a great time. There's no need for all this deep thinking. I will have to call out some people now: ultra_kek's comment is decent but it needs more structure. My main issue is that you need to just allow a person to freely express how they feel. Scuba Steve is the most sensible out of you four involved! At least he has mentioned something that can lead to resolving this problem. As for Sakura & a few other names I won't mention, just express your opinion and stop fighting each other. There's no need for debate. There's no need to get aggressive or say things that are just outright rude. ultra_kek, we appreciate your response. There's no need to take this conversation further. Hey dude! I tried out your first wad earlier. I shared it with a few friends too, here is what they said: Malila: "It's pretty simple... not too much to it but I guess that's what they wanted. I think for a first timer it sure is good gameplay" My Sister: "I enjoyed it for it being easy" My Cousin: "It reminds me of when I made my first wad. Simple designs with problems. I think this is a wad that deserves the myhouse.wad treatment"

I've gathered some more comments from my friends. Since I was feeling confident that some of my family would like it, I've taken their responses too. I'll also be sharing the gameplay time they used while trying out the myhouse.wad. My Cousin: (GT: 1 Hour) "I thought it was a simple house tour... If I had known it would be nightmare simulator... I would never have played it" My Sister: (GT: 15 Min) "It's okay, I don't really like Doom but I enjoyed the music" Elliot: "It's missing something... I'm not sure if after an entire playthrough if I've found everything... I feel like there's still more to be found. I read the journals only to find that it is just photoshopped edited images. I also did some research into the images, I know some details on original creator, etc. Not that it matters, I think this is just an ARG, Luke. It feels like one tbh" NightGirl: (She asked to be named her username instead of her real name) (GT: 5 Hours) "Wow-wee! This was the best map I've ever played! It has just enough music, features, textures, design, story, it never feels like too much. I'll admit that some of the scenes did drag out my gameplay time which I think were added as filler to keep the gameplay time becoming longer than necessary. It was so good though! I think I found all the keys but I'm not sure... I'm still unsure about that pilot scene. Is this some sort of dream? There's so many questions. My sister tried to watch me play it but she got bored due to it being in her own words: "Too slow" So I gues that's it for now. I may try it again later, you sure got me hooked on this game!" Malia: (GT: 2.5 Hours) "...I think there will be many people that will hate for me for this but I think this was overrated. It isn't really scary, it doesn't really scare me. The music was annoying in most areas but I started to like it when I was tired. The textures are impressive, the design is okay, the house layout is simple. The story is not interesting enough. The puzzles are way too complicated for some people. I think having silent hill puzzles in this wad is a big mistake... I was searching for what felt like hours! I don't like the nightmare scene. I don't like how I have to go from one place to another on loop. I really don't like the enemy placement... I know you may hate me for this, Luke. I appreciate you sharing it with me but this is just vomitrocious. I rate it 3/10... Maybe I'm just not a Doom person. I feel more like I'm a Valorant person tbh" Considering that I will be having a reunion tomorrow with old friends. I may recommend this to them so they can share their thoughts here too. I've been told that several of them have already created accounts to post here. One of them said they want to write a journal on how they felt.

I'd now like to share my thoughts on the myhouse.wad: The atmosphere of this wad is absolutely unsettling... It feels like you shouldn't be there. From the very moment the music goes weird... That's when I felt that feeling intensify. The heaviness within this wad is unreal. When people say that it makes them feel depressed or broken. Listen, I understand that too. It really does feel broken. There's just something about it that makes you think that you are experiencing something from your own life. I don't think the story is what makes this wad unsettling... The design of the map may be the main contributor. The music doesn't really unsettle me and my friends played it without the music because they said it hurts their ears. Which I think is completely valid. My main criticism would be that the music doesn't do enough. The story itself can be more interesting the longer you read into it. I honestly think it's the story that the Player makes in their own mind that makes this wad the best it can be. Because there is a story through some environment story-telling. That's something that I really enjoyed in this wad. My friends have asked me to share their thoughts in my comment so here it goes: Alex: "It's not that I don't like the wad. As someone who's played DOOM for 20 years, I honestly am very impressed with what it has achieved. I know people will say it is overrated and that's okay, I agree to an extent. I just think it's unfair to blame the author since the audience will be the problem for why this is overrated" Sarin: "Considering you asked me to play this as a prank... I don't forgive you... I won't forgive you... you have given me many nightmares!" Jennifer: "If I could describe this in one simple word. I'd say that it is "MONUMENTAL" because it really is... I got lost in this maze of a house... I got lost for so long... I had to watch videos on how to understand this silent hill nightmare" Edison: "I can't blame the author for why this wad exists... but I can blame myself for playing it" There's also a few comments shared on my Discord from close friends of mine: Jasper: "I think what this is trying to be is a shadow on Doom... it's trying to be what we wanted it to be... I can't explain in words alone why this map is so beautiful. Maybe it's the fact it is a house? I mean I like house and I'm not even a music fan" Sophia: "Well... I HATE YOU GUYS! You made me play this instead of Valorant? I missed ranked because of your prank! I'm now stuck thinking about that maze... Oh god... that maze... Can you please never recommend me this again?
