Thanks alot. Worked like a charm, except for one problem. The game starts and runs fine now, except there is no sound whatsoever. Anyone have any idea why that would be? Thanks again.

Does that sound like an error that would be caused by the OS? It's a fair bet I know, but I thought there might be something I could try (rather than having to wait to get the upgrade done), something along the lines of a swift kick to the computer???

Ok so I finally got the game and was all set to go, went to start it and right after I click on the icon this comes up. 2 error boxs. Top one says, A device attached to the system is not functioning. The bottom one says, The DOOM3.EXE file is linked to missing export KERNEL32.DLL:GlobalMemoryStatusEx. Any idea at all what might be causing this? I have windows ME, could that be it? Thanks.
