  1. As in fear of. You know, heeby geebies, what gives you the willy's? What makes your skin crawl? Face it, everyone has one. It’s nothing to be ashamed of.

I'm an animal lover and I won't even kill a spider I find in my house but there are only a few creatures on Gods green earth I can't stand. First are the centipede and its cousin the millipede (I can stand them more). Second is the Earwig (I moved out of an apartment because it was infested with these bastards). Let’s just say I came to an understanding with insects that each has a purpose and a right to carry out its divine plan to keep balance but I personally find most bugs gross. What’s really weird is I have a fascination with insects and find them very interesting and fun to research. Just don't force me to touch a centipede for any reason because I may break out into tears.

Does anyone else have some critter they find absolutely appalling.

Oh yeah, I can't stand the sight of blood. It's okay in movies when it's cartoonish (like Evil Dead), but otherwise I wince. I guess that's why I don't "get" Quentin Tarentino. I do like Pulp Fiction though...I just have to turn away at certain parts. I also have no problem with my own blood either, it's just other people's that worries me.

i have no fears, only discomforts.

for me snakes, they're cool, but keep them away from me.

The dark kind of gets to be sometimes. It's that whole "Don't be afraid of the dark, be afraid of what's in it" theory. I always have this deep fear that somethings going to get me as soon as I turn out the lights. Nothing ever does. I'd hoped I'd be over it by now.

a good blade usually handles that fairly well ;) it works for confidence and protection.

my "fear" in the dark is that i might stub my toe on something.

Bugs: Silverfish, I was eating at a mexican and three of the bastards fell on my head, not particularly scary but it definitely makes my skin crawl. Especially when they're crawling all over each other in clumps. Brr!

Scares: Isolation. Went caving a week ago, had to turn the lights out, even though I was holding the feet of the guy crawling in front when it went quiet I began to get panicky, feeling really lonely, so I had to keep up some inane chatter to stop myself from losing it.
