I could see how you could afford it, but why would you waste your money like that? They are almost identical.

KA-DOOSH! Super Shotgun, bi'atch!

I don't believe it. Pictures?

NVidia GeForce FX 5200 128 MB

I think, you are correct.

The 5200's are a waste of money in their 256 MB edition, might as well get a 5900 with 256 MB, almost the same price anyways.

It went off when I opened WinAmp, then I turned it's shitface off. That'll shut it up.

I have ADSL, (about 312 kb/s max) and how do I download it manually? When I went to their site, it told me to turn on auto-updates (which I despise) and download it that way.

Wow, 3 to 60 minutes is a big gap. I've left my computer on for four days now, since it said it started downloading it, but I don't think it's done yet. Is there a way to check on it or something?

I liked it, being a huge fan of Rammstein (I have every album.)

Oh my I will slit my ankles if this is another pronounciation poll...

That's what I thought. He knew that the Council & UAC Presidents would soon get involved and find out what they were doing and shut them down. So the only hope he had to save his research, was to hand his soul over to Hell.

You should put zoom on the pistol or some sort of sniper rifle. ^.^; Oh, and we need a flamethrower that sets people on fire. That'd be Kick-Azz™.

Didn't the Doom guy get trapped in some cage in Hell? If so, maybe the rest of the guys that teleported through just kind of landed or appeared in Hell already. Perhaps Bertruger ordered you to be stripped of your weapons in order for you to "play the game" correctly. I mean, all of Hell seemed like a game, you know, get the berserk and a bunch of guys come out and attack you. I think Bertruger was just toying with you, he'd never think you'd actually kill the Cyberdemon, etc. Or maybe I've just seen The Running Man too many times.

How many MB of DDR memory you got on that 5900? And I have: P4-HT @ 2.4 GhZ 512 MB DDR RAM NVidia GeForce FX 5200 128 MB DDR And run Doom 3 on Medium quality at 640x480 resolution and get a good solid 40 FPS during most of the game, about 25-30 in Hell.

No, tearing in the graphics apply to CRTs and LCD (Flatpanels) as well. However, LCD's, along with tearing, can "ghost" images. This mean, when you move, it would be almost like you see part of the last image due to your monitor not able to redraw the new textures/graphics change. Kind of like when you stare at one thing, then look away and you still see the shape of it. As for finding it out (your update rate), you could probably search on-line or call Dell's tech support, they are supposed to have some really good tech's there.

Councilor Swann r0xx0rz. So do party-hat chainsaw zombies. ^.^;

I'm not sure if this has been brought up already, it probably has, but I searched through and didn't see any mention of it. In Doom 3, if you hit the Quit button, and the "Are You Sure Y/N" box comes up, if you look at the bottom-left corner of the screen is says "RUNNING AWAY?" If you select NO and don't move the mouse at all, and then look at the bottom left corner of the screen it says "PLAYER HAS DECIDED TO KILL MORE!" It looks like they didn't leave their Doom 1/Doom 2 funny leave messages out of Doom 3. "Leaving? But DOS Prompt is even scarier!" or something like that, haha loved those. Screenies: Running Away?: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v254/Verdale/runaway.jpg Player Decided To Kill More!:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v254/Verdale/killmore.jpg EDIT: Added screenies for those who can't find it.

Gee, I'm sorry. It was just that you can't spell or even know half of the names of the characters/monsters from the Doom series. I just assumed you were a newb because of this, a simple correction would have done fine, no need to get all pissed off and throw a tantrum. Anyways, I'm not a newb either. DSM said that they are working on an intellectual property now. Does that mean we'll see something like the Myst series?

Besides the sentence being grammatically incorrect, it's also not true. I didn't see and blue key cards or pentagrams in Half-Life. EDIT: Right, I knew that. ^.^;

ThreeEyes is right. Doom 3's graphics and constant enviroment interactions with the player will cause far too much choppiness on your average computer. You'd need one of those 4,000 dollar Alienwares to run a game like that. Half-Life 2's graphics need to use more advanced techniques to compress the graphics but remain somewhat a visually stunning look. From far away, Half-Life 2's graphics look amazing. But walk up to a side of the building, and it looks almost like Doom 2 textures. Actually, I seemed to notice almost that Doom 2 and Half-Life swapped enviroments. Doom 2 had many wide open areas, and Half-Life contained very enclosed areas. Now, Doom 3 is a very enclosed area, and Half-Life 2 is in very open areas. Did anyone else notice that change? Anyways, like I said. It's almost impossible to compare graphics, due to the gameplay, story, and opinion of the player. I have no clue why things like this keep popping up.

I think we should add this to the easter egg section? Or would you call it something else? Like extras?

We know it's a game, and game's are supposed to be fun. Some of you say the story doesn't matter and such, then taping a flashlight on the gun wouldn't matter, so why are you backing it up? You guys take both sides on and off. On one side, you say it's a game, who cares, blah blah blah. On the other side, you say "Yeah but in real-life you can't do that blah blah blah". Stop trying to defend Doom's name and face the fucking facts. I'm a hardcore Doom fan, but I know when to admit when id software may have made a mistake. I don't care about the flashlights or oxygen tanks or other shit. I want the MP game browser and netcode fixed, that's all I want.
