TDA predictions (This took so long to write)
Sloops replied to Sloops's topic in Doom: The Dark Ages
So tell me what yall think will happen -
Since we haven't gotten much updates for TDA, I've been thinking. Looking at previous codes entries and replaying games, I've seen some stuff that might make an appearance in TDA. So let's get started. Weapons: Skull Crusher: This isn't new, but we've all been thinking about the ammo supply. Where the hell are gonna get it from? A theory of many, once we kill an enemy we will get ammo for this gun. As Hugo stated, there will be so many if not 3x the enemy's, so we'll have enough ammo to supply like no other. Shield saw: We have information on the sheild saw from Hugo, and from a person (I don't remember their name) they made a chart of what they saw in the gameplay, and they showed that the sheild saw could be charged, simular to modern Doom. But does that destroy the whole hype around it? Hugo did say that we will use it through the whole game, but will we need ammo for it? Double barrel plasma gun: Not really much to say, just a plasma gun with another barrel, it probably uses twice the ammo. Railspike: I'll edit this when I think of how we can supply ammo. The rest of the weapons are pretty self explanatory, like the single barrel shotgun and the super shotgun. Monsters: As people who saw the gameplay, they made statements of classic fodder being beefed up. Such as the imp. Monster rider/Pinky?: We don't really know if the gigantic beast is the pinky, but for now we'll say it is. But since it's a dual enemy, maybe once we kill the soldier the pinky will become its own enemy with its own movements, and the same with the soldier. Hell knights: These might be the monsters who are the one that u can parry the most, since in all games they focus on melee combat. As people said green means parryable, but some did say that there was an armored version. So maybe their attacks will be different, simular to the armored barron? Brain things: Idk, maybe cacodemons? I hope not. Aggadon hunters: We have gotten some confirmation (I think) that they are The Aggadon Hunters from Doom Eternal. I'm not really going to go into others monsters, we haven't gotten much info besides basic fodder. Mechs: I only have one prediction for this one, Do yall remember those huge batteries in exultia? The batteries that we needed to power the mechs to get to other areas? We might use these and supply them as ammo in fights when we're in the mech. Story: As we saw with the codex, it lies. An example of this, The Father, it describes him as the original creator when it was really The Dark Lord. So maybe specific events that we know we'll might have happened differently, and we will see how they really happened. Commander Vallen: We might be able to see his perspective, when he betrayed his army, when he's in hell with the Slayer. Flashbacks: We might be able to able to witness flashbacks of the slayers past, with that being from classic Doom to when he fought in the Sentinels as a fodder soldier. I may edit this, but this is all I have for now. This may seem lazy but I'm just really tired. I just want more updates man.

There haven't really been many updates since the new screenshot back in early October, Hugo did say we would see more content soon but that was back in August at Quakecon. There was two Xbox events that showcased new games, The Tokyo Gameshow, and the Xbox Partner Preview. I've heard many theories that more may be shown at the Game Awards, but compared to the marketing of DE and Doom 2016 this is quite odd. We have one trailer that is almost 5 months old now, and the descriptions of the game from the people at Quakecon, but that's it
