Nightmare, just because our reasons aren't good enough for you doesn't mean they aren't good enough for us. I'm surprised you're defending this pile of shit, as a doomer. For the last half year we've been getting information that has led us to believe thorougly that this movie will suck. Everytime you've defended it. Considering the facts (yes, facts, my friend) regarding this movie, we have every reason to say it will suck. Any chance it had of breaking the "game-to-movie" curse are gone. This is not Doom. This is Resident Evil in Space featuring Doom 3 look-alike monsters (supposedly, we'll see how far that goes). I believe we're the ones that should be telling you, that you are the one whom needs a realistic reason for your opinion and thoughts on this. The facts are there, why can't you accept them? Is this whole act just some way of holding yourself back from the true realization of how bad this movie is going to be, keeping yourself from throwing an inevitable shitfit over it or feeling an extreme amount of disappointment? You might as well be ready now, than leave the theater pissed off and come back here to all of us saying we told you so.

So, recapping: The Doom movie still sucks, Nightmare is in denial, and Doomers across the world are pissing in the general direction of Hollywood for fucking this up. Well, I can't say any of that was unexpected.

I haven't seen it yet but I'm hoping he'll put it on the Closure dvd when it comes out. For TR has posted the track list for With Teeth and also included a clip that is to be blunt, fucking awesome (though I'm sure the superiority complex of some is too high to possibly be excited over it). A five month delay between completion of an album and its release is ridiculous. If the album is done and they'll be touring even before then I don't see the point in delaying it so far. How is Heresy, The Becoming and Reptile on it? I have yet to listen to the Deluxe version. Those were some of my favorite songs from the original.

I think once he said he had alot more than that recorded. He'll probably release some b-sides on the "The Hand That Feeds" single since he usually does that with singles (how many tracks were there on the Closer to God single? I know it was like 7 altogether, maybe more), and then there's also the remix cd that usually comes out after the actual album. We'll get more than 13 tracks, don't worry.

They'll probably do a longer trailor for it like they've done with the last few NIN releases, hopefully one of which might have lyrics. I'm somewhat curious to see how Trent's voice has aged in the last six years. I'm more curious to see how he's pulled off a track called "All The Love in the World"...

Heh, as if you have any place to call anyone a troll. Problem is, is that now that the track list has been released, people will start releasing a bunch of fake crap onto p2p networks. There's already supposed "bleedthrough" tracks floating around like "The Last Inch", "I Machine", etc., that are fake.

Well I bought the board game this last Friday night. There's a couple of the Pinky Demons that I was working on. Sorry, my webcam sucks, but my digital cam focuses in on the background all the time instead of the foreground, so it sucks as well. Anyway, I have all six done minus the bases. A cyberdemon, all the Arch Viles, and a few Trites have been started on as well. The one on the left I used Mithril Silver on it's hind legs and the one on the right I used a mix of Chaos Black and Mithril Silver which made a better, darker looking metal. My miniature painting skills aren't that strong. I've only painted a couple of Dark Eldar soldiers and they sucked badly. And yes, this is my webspace I'm linking to.

Not only that but think about this: They mostly stayed all by theirselves over in their own little world. Except for Makaveli I haven't seen anyone from over there come over here to ask for help or anything. I've never even heard of any of those people until the HoE project when I decided to go over there and register on their forum. Isolating yourself from the rest of the community minus one guy that seems to be the representetive for the HoE team is not the wisest thing to do, its especially not wise to then turn around and complain about people not wanting to help. They didn't even ask for help as far as I know, they merely wanted people to wander on over there to their little hole and apply. If there's anyone to blame for the downfall and lack of help it's the HoE team themself. I'm sure if they would have asked here that some of the people that are now on Team Future working on the Phobos mod would have probably tried helping them, had they asked before Phobos started. Simply put, you can't expect help if you don't ask for it.

Part of what has kept the Doom modding community alive this long is sharing resources. What do they mean ask for it now? Should we have asked during the project development before they gave up on it? What difference would it have made? We still wouldn't have got to use the stuff. The only problem with the Doom 3 modding community is that Doom 3 is so complex that there's not many who want to fight trying to fit working with it into their daily lives. Let's face it, it took 4 years for them to complete the game and perfect it and they're professionals. They also have their own company working on it. It's going to take a long, long time for anyone to complete any sort of mod. IMO it's rather selfish not to release them considering the hype they all created over the HoE mod everytime someone finished something or were close to it. Its kind of stupid to just say "you didn't help, so you can't have it. Instead its going to sit on our hard drives and go to go to waste in our trophy case of unused cool stuff."

He should atleast allow the community to use it rather than let any hard work they did go to waste. There's people that'd love to use what they came up with for modding, and even if HoE had been complete they would have been used in other mods anyway. I hope he releases it rather than having the "all or nothing" attitude.

Website says it's $49.95. I'm gonna buy it so I can paint the damn things for Warhammer40K and use them for Chaos. Better than spending the alternative $200 for an actual set of soldiers, having to put them together, etc. Checkout the paint job this guy did on his: edit by Cyb: image leeching is rude as hell, and you should care what I say He did a pretty damn good job. If you want to check out his advice on painting them, there's the website. He says he takes comissions (aka he'll paint them for you) so to contact him. Obviously by the web address he lives in the UK though, so unless you're over there, shipping would be a bitch. (BTW the paints he names are all Warhammer40K/Citadel model paints)

Sudden and unexpected. No surprise though. Doom 3 is too damn complicated to have much of a modding community. As far as I can tell individual efforts at doing a decent Doom 3 mod are about futile.
