  1. After a rough few years and spending most of my time in World of Warcraft, I've finally been able to quit the damn game and move on to other things. I didn't realize how many hobbies I had dropped in playing the stupid game so much. I've become much more active in other online communities for hobbies I have in real life, and after receiving one of the bogus e-mails about paying for NewDoom membership, I came here figuring I'd see something about it.

I basically abandoned all my Doom projects and visiting Doomworld and Newdoom a long time ago because with other things I just finally lost interest in the modding community. In picking back up the pieces of interests I had dropped, I also decided to search for the thread on the project I had put most of my efforts into before I left everything to rot. When I did I couldn't believe the post date of the last time I posted in the thread

It's been almost three fucking years? I seems like forever ago that I had touched my editor - I remember reading about how the development of Doom Builder 2 had just been announced somewhere in between then and now and haven't been back since then. Jesus.

If you've ever considered playing WoW and can be even close to easily pulled into to something where it becomes addictive or compulsive, don't start playing World of Warcraft. I'm a dumbass for letting my life basically equate to WoW in some form when not working or sleeping. It's simply hard to describe the realization that every day for 3 years has been the same and blurred together to the point where you don't realize how much time has really gone by.

Things have been looking up. My boyfriend and I are both looking at moving to Australia, and things are going really well in that area. He has family living there, so it should be a really awesome experience. I think the only thing I'll really miss here in the U.S. is the tornado alley weather. Yeah, I'm one of those people standing out on their porch or parked on an overpass staring at the sky when I'm in a tornado warning. Heh, makes for great photography though (the clouds, not me gawking at them).

I just started playing WoW a couple weeks ago for something to do after my wierd work shifts. (Really... what is there to do at 2 or 3 in the morning on a weekday??)

I'm not really hooked on it though, for me it didn't really add up to the hype eveyone I know has been giving it. It is Okay, but nothing special.

Yeah, it really depends on what kind of person you are. My brother and I started playing about the same time. I got bored quite a while ago. My brother, on the other hand, is still raiding almost every night.

12 beers in the past year? Funny, I had 12 beers in about an hour last night. Being hammered is more fun than WoW, and it makes for awesome and random things to happen.
