CuteFTP crashes big time for me a lot. Mostly right after refreshing a list. I know its spyware, but I dont give a fuk, Im on cable and dont care for a byte more or less.

On the Doom Connector you can host it yourself and others that have Ground Zero can join. It would be cool tho if Doom Connector would have a dedicated for it, but you gotta ask getsomewhere.net (or some other hosting service) for that.

Mostly in the weekends and mostly in the afternoon for America, then you can expect some real good 8 player games or something, but at other times, it may be quiet. I guess that has never been different in this doom community, not with doomserv or any other online service. This community isnt that big. Cop; I indeed heard that through Greensting, he also told me you mess with things a lot and you p00p on installation guidelines ;) Guess yer asking for it :) Ok, serious, just try to do it as clean as possible wether you like it or not, close all damn programs, ICQ, AIM, MSN, all browser windows, hit ALT-CTRL-DEL and kill the programs running in background, etc. Uninstall anything you have from the Doom Connector from the Control Panel (never just delete a folder) and then try the installation. Read every fuckin message twice before anwerring. And please read the installation guidelines at the download page. If it still wont work, yer system must be screwed somehow, then only format c: will help ya out.

I would like to see the railgun change a bit. When I fired it, i expected it to shoot the rail immediately (like a real railgun does) but instead it loads first, then fires. Should be the other way IMO. Fire immediately, then load for almost 1 sec. Skulltag is already fully supported by Doom Connector, but the launcher that comes with Skulltag may be improved a bit tho. Just in case my internet fails and wanna kick bots' ass some day.

The Doom Connector supports Windoom which is exactly doom(2).exe but with TCP/IP support built in. Im not sure, and its a bit gettho, but if Windoom doesnt work, maybe you can put doom(2).exe on the Windoom entry to use it. But then you must have some kind if IPX emulator (cuz doom(2).exe doesnt support TCP/IP) which I dont know of how the suckers work.

If it had network support, it would have been supported in Doom Connector already. But even after email them about it, they wouldnt put networking in :\

JDoom support is coming soon in the Doom Connector. I talked to its programmer and there are just a few changes needed, but it is expected to be there next version.

The Doom Legacy Connector version 1.4 is available. Users that have it already installed can just run it and they will get the update automatically. Yup (was your idea to make such a thing too, wasnt it you?!) Cool, I think its a good idea to attrac some people. Think of how it could be if there are some more interested people on that thing! :)

Here it is! Got rid of the Legacy in the name, because it now supports all good ports and there are even more to come. Second major update; File transfers, /sound support, PRBoom support, DEH and BEX files support and more new features are listed here. The website also changed address to http://xodemultimedia.com/connector, but the old address will be keept as redirector. And we got a nice small banner that you can use to put on your site to get some more people on this fresh service. Again, users that have the Connector already do not have to worry about the update. They will get it automatically when they start up the Connector. Suggestions for support are always welcome.

No its true Flathead, Return to Castle Wolfenstein is way too heavy for what you get. They used the Quake3 engine and messed it all up :(

Well, the name is everywhere. In the program, in graphics, on the site, would be a pain in my ass to change it all. And the theme (green cyber shit) (on the site and on the Connector) is from Legacy. Maybe ill change it some day, dunno.

Yea, the 'Legacy' in the name is one big deception. It supports a lot ports now. Maybe their just scared to try anything new. I thought you 'managed' the hostings @ doomworld too. I submitted a request for hosting the DLC website (temporarely at http://xodemultimedia.com/dlc) a while ago, but never got any reply :\
