It's a little sad for some strange reason, looking back on all the very old doom sites that are now dead. And it's really hard to find a Classic Doom site, because now everything's becoming too Doom 3 related. Anywhat, I think that on Tom's Doom Page there's only one link that still works. I think it's LostSoul's Mac Doom Page or something. Don't know how active it is, though, and I wonder if that's really the page or if it's been replaced. As of the moment I don't have the time to search it, however. I wonder if Tom is still alive, or if his e-mail address is still the same. For some strange reason I feel the urge to e-mail him.

Hmm, that sounds like an excellent idea. Let's all convert ourselves to a member of a specific stereotypical faction based on small and irrelevant aspects of our personality, looks, etc. I guess because of the fact that I have glasses, good vocabulary, a digital watch and an iBook that I use a lot that I must be a 'geek'.

I believe that certain Goths have different attitudes and beliefs. I think that some are just depressed, some think that the world is nothing but darkness and death, some just want to try out black magic. I'm not really sure, I haven't looked into Gothics much.

Ah, the idiocy of scrutiny and censorship. It's perfectly alright to depict stark-naked africans on the discovery channel, but there's always going to be a long rant about Janet Jackson's boob exposure. I just don't see any adequate logic in how this censorship system works. On the other hand, I do agree with you on the issue of how women are often regarded as patsies for sex and perhaps prostitution. If only stereotyping didn't exist, then we'd have a much more open-minded understanding to these sorts of matters. But alas.

Blaming Marilyn Manson. Where did I hear that before? *SIGHS* When hypocrites weren't ranting about video games after the Columbine massacre, Marilyn Manson was also a back-up 'blame pincushion'. Reports like these are all the same thing. Video games, drugs, music, etc. To think that these people are missing the aspects of more effective factors of violent behaviour such as the murderer's environment, life, parents, respect etc and instead focused on blaming the things they do may give us the potential to safely say that these reports (and possibly the authors) are rather ignorant. For the record, people need to quit the incessant whining, imperialistic grudge campaigns against products and inanimate objects and start parenting. If we don't take action, we might as well let these incidents continue every day. And it seems as if while the world becomes more and more corrupt that that's going to happen anyway. In fact, seeing as an insufficient amount of action is taken to address these matters, then argumentatively speaking, continuing to include blames related to incidents like this in articles would be rendered pointless. Farewell.

I've been an avid Doom player for years now, and just yesterday as I gunned down the Spider Mastermind (one could exaggerate that I had done so for the millionth time) before completing and quitting the game, I felt something was a little wrong. Getting off of the computer and thinking for a moment, I finally found out the problem: So many years of playing the classic doom series, and yet I wasn't participating in its community. So, I went on google and typed up "Doom Forum". I found this site. What very much relieves me is the fact that this Doom community is not only dedicated, but it also appears to be quite active. Wolfenstein, Unreal, Marathon and even some UT communities are sucking dust hard (although except for Unreal's multiplayer option I'm not really interested in any of these FPS games), and this place just lives. So I'm here. Any information on what to be aware of or any such topics would be appreciated. I'm glad to become a part of a community dedicated to one of the most truly spectacular aspects of life of all time. :) Just one question: What code would I type in to change my font color here?
