That id software would forget my illustrious and cute contributions is insulting and brusque. But also good to see more monsters getting done, Caleb.

I've never seen people bitch so much about free software.

At least in multiplayer that's the only thing that keeps the game fun, without adversity minecraft is nothing.

st.alfonzo has quickly become my favorite new forum member and has turned another newstuff I'd never read into something I'd read only for his review.

Looking forward to seeing the rest, also nice to see another animator around these parts!

Never had the problem, but I may just click differently than you.

That's my boy! I have an Arc Touch too and it's perfect.

I'm not basing an assumption on anything, I'm refuting the OP's claim that it's "unfair." Where do I say he's trying to get back into the industry? The point being, whether Bobby Prince is trying or not, he's certainly not making music for modern video games and there's nothing unfair about that.

some movie that might have some vague reference to half-life

Seems like they kinda blew their load on a good beginning and didn't think too hard about the rest of the film. The atmospheric shots of Shepard walking through the abandoned factory at the beginning were the best parts and were very Half-Life, then they decided to go big-time action film and ruined it with shoddy zombies and bad choreography. I really wish independent film makers would realize that if you don't have the money to do something believably or right, don't include it and make up for it in another area you can afford. I really didn't even mind the super composity post production look, but it's so inconsistent the film's pacing gets really divided into "greenscreen or not." And tell me why does every film need to have a Minority Report style touch screen hologram segment? -
All I remember about this game is how horrible the voice acting at the beginning is.

I'm a working animator and I'm not going to argue with you as you clearly missed the point.

What's so unfair about it? He made a couple beeps and boops for some now unknown games and stole some riffs from metal bands for the ones that anyone still talks about. What he hasn't done is grown with the industry or done anything to get noticed by this big-budget developers. I mean honestly a lot of the members from this very forum can make a midi better than anything Bobby Prince did.

In addition, I can attest to you as a traditional animation major that stop motion is incredibly difficult to do, requires expensive software, and seldom if ever looks remotely good unless the figures are made specifically for the project by a team of artists who also design the settings, rigging, and lighting.

Right, because their publisher wants to make money. Also I think their argument is bullshit and an excuse for being incapable of breaking their own formula.

Companies wanna make money you idiots they don't owe anyone some karmic duty to make the kind of games you want. Also you're acting like derivative games are some new phenomenon when literally every game has ripped off some other game while sprinkling on something new since the inception of the medium. Besides there are plenty of good games made within the last 10 years and the tired "old is good" mantra praising game flaws or obsolescence as some kind of advantage is I can only imagine how old timers yelled about movies with sound in them 30 years after they had been introduced. The fact is there were bad games in the 90s too and holding onto a bygone era as some idealized standard is stupid in 2011. I think too many people around here have their heads shoved too firmly up their own asses to actually play a new game before immediately dismissing it so they can be popular/assholes.

Infinity: The Quest for Earth (The Greatest 4X Game Ever?)
Bank replied to Mr. Freeze's topic in Everything Else
I cannot imagine that doing anything 200 billion times would be either fun nor the opposite of WoW. 200 Billion? Really? That seems incredibly stupid because no matter how they make them they're all going to look like they're pulled from a pool of about 6 planet types with awful randomized peaks and valleys terrain with a random name generator that picks a roman numeral to stick after the same 10 planet names. -
Personal truth is the most convincing!
