Romero's teaching about engines and crap? I thought John Carmack did all the engine-related shite at iD. And BTW, on the whole Monkeybone thing, apparently the Dopefish WILL make a return in Hyperspace Delivery Boy. -

Once in EDGE, I slowed down all the monster's speed and anims, and made it so the pistol shot slow, individual projectile bullets. Unfortunately I couldn't slow the player down, so I cancelled the project. So, yeah. Make it. Nooooow. *sits in corner and growls defensively*

The Age (Major Aussie Newspaper) thinks so. Their Entertainment Guide recently placed doom at the top spot in their 50 Best Games Of All Time, ahead of the Quake series, Counterstrike, and Super Metroid (SNES). I'll get a scan in ASAP, and maybe send it in as a DOOMworld POTD.

A Keen TC would be kinda fun. The problem would be redrawing the enemies with all the new angles they'd need to look somewhat "normal" in the DOOM engine...

Hmm... I remember seeing it in an old DOOM1 shareware demo. In E1M3 (I think) the marine would fall down the hole, and land on the acid and medkit at the same time, thus making that "While I'm down there..." face.

At the end of the single player tournament in Q3A, you fight a cyber-monk guy named Xaero. He's pretty much an ordinary bot with maximum everything in his bot file. Pretty annoying, when he dodges all your plasma blasts, then nails you with a rail shot from about 55 feet away. However, there's a few AI quirks, so you still get a few advantages over him...
