could you please elaborate on the story behind that?
anyway, the wad has great level design considering it's a doom2.exe wad. too bad i'm not good enough to beat it on UV :)

i find chocolate doom pretty useless because some compet-n demos still desynch and there's no way to play them right, it seems. prboom plus, though, has no issues with them at all if you follow the tutorial :)
i had an opportunity to play doom using a VR helmet, was rather immersive, but i must say all these older games are too low-res to get fully immersed by such 3d tricks ;) at least imo.
single player ftw, srsly ;) though i enjoy some skulltag dm or coop as well, but single beats them hands down in terms of atmosphere in most cases. plus with multiplayer there's still the "it's such a good wad and no servers run it" issue.
i agree with that. i find it very irritating if ammo is very scarce so you end up up hitting monsters with fist eventually. if on top of that the level is very cramped (which imo is bad itself in most cases) and has loads of monsters, there is no other way to proceed.
styx seems to be on idgames and many other ones too, just search in the whole textfile if filename search doesn't give any results.
