I'm having the same problem as Alando is, and I don't know what PM is. (Unless you're referring to private message, but I doubt it.

(I know I ask for help a lot, but there's really nowhere else to look) I just downloaded it today, and I find it fun, but, I'm, already stuck. How do you get the key in the swamp area? And another thing, I read the console and it said "Demon has no frames" and "snake has no frames" or something to that effect. Is this just because I'm using the demo version of Hexen and they aren't in the WAD? (I hate stealth enemies!!!!!)

I didn't plan on doing so. What I WAS going to ask for though, is where the cheapest place is to buy hexen/heretic. If it's eBay, I'll go for second best.

Is the level possible? All it is, is just a metal box. I've tried dying, I've tried wasting all my ammo, what are ya supposed to do?

I would assume that the new monster you're referring to is what I have gone to call the "Hell Lord" in tradition with the medieval caste-style system of the Baron family. (The one that shoots 5 mancubus fireballs and 2 revenant missles in one attack.) I don't see why Dr. X (The crazygonuts marine) would use some of the Romero head graphics, it just seems to use WolfSS sprites.

I have two types of leaflet-like items. One has the medic cross on it, the other has the weapon shop symbol on it. How do I use them? I've tried hitting the use key with the things selected when at the counter of the shopkeeper, but nothing happens...(I must not be making myself overly popular, but oh well...)

Anybody know one you can actually see, shoot, etc the doll instead of it just being used in, say, an instant-death teleporter?

Well, I saw an article about it on the Doom Wiki, and it looked interesting. Plus, I wanna know what the "Undead" thing is like.

Is it okay to ask for help on a level in a Doom-based game? Namely, Heretic?

I looked in the building in the graveyard, and I didn't find any switch. I found another teleporter, but that only led me up on to the raised area (Which I assume is a coffin) in the building. Do I have to push one of the gravestones maybe? Edit: Never mind, I found it. Thanks Graf!

Graf, I didn't see any switch. I went into the secret passage, and found what I believe to be the second secret door that you mentioned, but it only gives me a gargoyle and a teleporter that leads me back to the very beginning of the level, and the only thing I saw was another teleporter which led to a small hall that goes to the graveyard. And on top of that, my music stopped working...it's not been a good day.

Well, I'm completely lost on e1m6 (The Cathedral) I'm trying to figure out how to extend the stairs to the second level of the room with the raised center, or somehow open up the columns that appear to lead to the same area according to the map. (I hope I made this clear enough...) If you need a screen, I'll see if I can figure out how to post one.

Let's not forget the fact that, more often than not zombies seem to still have blood pulsing through their veins. Even though their hearts no longer function, and, if they were dead for a couple dozen years, it would have either clotted within them or simply dried up. (May be the first time I said anything smart...)

Okay, first question on my mind. It's been bugging me for days. When is that one face used (I don't know how to do pictures) that looks like the marine just got kicked in the nuts? (It's used in Chronicle 236 a few times...)

I'm new to the whole WAD thing, and I need a little help. (Be gentle!) I'm trying to run one of the custom WADS under ZDoom, (Scythe 2 to be specific) and it does not show it in the "select WAD" window. What do I do? Also, I tried running it in plain DOOM95 with DOOM2 as the main WAD, and I just got a tiny yellow square in the upper-right hand corner of an other-wise all black screen after hearing a former human roar sound.

I guess that answers my question. This can now be safely closed/sent to hell without me attempting to rip someone's arms off.

Thanks, I got that figured out now, just one more question: How do I get demos to run in ZDoom? (Both the ones the come with the WAD and ones that are recorded/downloaded.)

I've got WADS for Doom 1 and 2, Plutonia and TNT for Doom95. When I try and access either Wolfenstein or Grosse, I get dumped back to windows with an error message saying something to the effect of it not being able to find the map. I opened up the WAD with WINTEX and sure enough, the maps aren't there. Is there any place where I can get the maps from?
