Use git. Start by creating two branches: one for the original BOOM source, and one for what you did with it. Diff, merge, and refer back and forth as needed. -

Why do OpenGL renderers tend to have more glitches? One example is shown here: http://www.flaterco.com/kb/DOOM/PrBoom-Plus.html Another example: this HOM in Alien Vendetta isn't a HOM in the software renderer: Is it because the software renderer uses integer math, while GPUs use floating point math?

It used to be that if you played the first level of BTSX with Brutal DOOM, then the sound would be fine with FMOD Ex, but you would hear the torches all the time if you played with OpenAL. My understanding is that that was due to the OpenAL backend not properly setting the volume of the torches in relation to your distance from them. Has that been fixed?

Hell Revealed isn't as hard as it looks. There's always plenty of health, ammo, cover, and room to maneuver. There's also always a mix of monsters, so they fight each other instead of you.

These days? freelook on. crouching off. jumping off. Steam Controller. And before you ask: no, I'm not as good with a Steam Controller as I am with WASD and a mouse.
