I type that in and it says "The syntax of the command is incorrect" im asshuming by when you mean "path to choclate doom" you type in <C:\Doom2\> (in my case) ? Is there anyone online "n00bs" kinda guide to all this. Ive been playing doom online for years now, i have never tried the Total Conversions... My Setup is ive just copied and pasted all my wads, pwads and iwads in the one folder C:\Doom2, so everything i unzip goe's in there. Oh and one more question, when i was unzipping thoose two aliens files, they seemed to overwrite the other out becuase they had the same name, should i change the names (i mean these zips .. http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=3269 and http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=3268 ) Thanks for all your help guys!

im realy sorry guys, im an absolute n00b in the case of prompt's and what you type and. How do i run a prompt? Could you possibly give me like an "idiots step by step" to launching this. I really appreiacite this... i just heard there was a aliens doom so i had to try it out! Thanks!

Downloaded chocolate doom and when i click to open it it opens for a split second then closes, is there anyway i can solve that?

Hi mate, I followed your intructions however i get "ERROR: Can't Find DOOM" files. I have the Doom.wad but im not to sure which file is the "exe" DOOM.EXE, im sure i have it, if not where can i download it from. I have bought all the doom games and have downloaded wads through websites, im just terrible at all this technical stuff. What should I do now? Thanks for your help

Ive got everything, ive downloaded the total conversion, unzipped everything, ive got Doom 1, 2 wads.... clicked on "Aliens" bat file and nothing happens. I use dos box on it and it doesnt work... can someone tell me step by step what exactly to do please? Cheers

Well im sure thats the one... if not have u got a link to where I can get that from? Ive downloaded everything on here http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=2232 and Ive done what its said I downloaded Edge 1.9 and i unziped all the files and put everything into a "Edge" folder under C:/GAMES/EDGE and copyed my doom2.wad into that folder and i installed & unziped everyting then i double clicked the edge application icon and it loads up fine (the edge) so i know thats working BUT i want to play Doom 2.5 so when i click ont eh Doom 2.5 launcher it gives me a message saying "This Edge version can not handle this DDF. Error Occured near line 9 of language.ldf Line Contents: #VERSION 1.29" Can someone tell me what im doing wrong or what i need to download.... PLEASE???

Thats the thing with a blue icon saysing "Doom 2.5" isn't it? When i do it says "This version of Edge cannot handel this DDF. Error occured near line 9 of DDFWEAP. Line Contents: #VERSION 1.9" .... can someonw make this easy for me lol

Hi guys just wondering if you can help me out. I downloaded the latest version of "Edge" and I downloaded a bundle of zip files and unzipped them accordingly into the same folder ( as it says here http://doom25.modfiles.org/download.html ) so its C:/Games/Edge and everything is unziped and put in there... NOW, when I open "Doom 2.5" and press play it says "IdentifyVersion:No Iwads found" Ive started setting it up and ive done what its said I downloaded Edge 1.9 and i unziped all the files and put everything into a "Edge" folder under C:/GAMES/EDGE and copyed my doom2.wad into that folder and i installed & unziped everyting then i double clicked the edge application icon and it loads (making my screen go all funny) then says that "There are no fonts defined in DDF". Can someone tell me what im doing wrong here .... im useless at programming/funny bits... i just play computer games hehe

it WAS'NT midi music, thats the thing it was like an actual song not midi music

I have to disagree with you there, I heard a blastbeat underneath it and with a production that good it wouldnt have been justsomone deciding "i will record this" im thinking it will be some underground death metal band from the U.S i haven't heard of, but at the same time it could be Disavowed or something like that. Anyway does anyone know who i can contact to ask them? I only play that everynow and then so i can listen to the music =)

Theres some metal music played in between levels on the scoreboard the dib20b.wad . Im just wondering who is the band and what song is it - it kicks ass, if no one knows do they know who made the wad so i can ask them?
