That has nothing to do with the iwad picker. You were loading IWADs with the in-game PWAD picker. To my knowledge, the in game picker doesn't support loading of IWADS. Edit (for clarification): The IWAD picker looks for a list of game IWADS from base/system.cfg and displays a small UI *before* EE boots fully.

Shaviro has updated the Team Future website with a rather extensive post in which he talks about recent additions to the team, as well as progress on individual maps. So head on over and see what's what.

Don't listen to him sl! It's hard and it makes your eyes bleed!!!

Ok, so anyone who doesn't like it, here's a protip: * DON'T DOWNLOAD OR USE IT * This is a little utility I wrote in like 2 hours because kristus asked for it. If you think it's stupid, see the protip. If you think a wad manager would be better, see the protip. If you really just want to argue, well... continue on, I guess...

Seconded. Allowing identifiers to start with numbers == 9_6

Did this guy get paid every time he mentioned GGL wire? Or perhaps are they currently pointing a loaded shotgun down his wife's throat? Either scenario is cooler than "No, he's just a tool"

should this maybe be a news item on DW?

From my devblog (http://som.mancubus.net/) you can download a new unofficial beta of Eternity. This version has vastly improved mouse support! If you have had any complaints about EE's mouse code in the past, please download and try this beta! http://som.mancubus.net/

Wait, I can launch EE from DB... This is the first time I've ever heard of anyone having a problem doing so... Can you tell me what the command line parameters are in DB for launching EE?
-
Neither of the EE devs use Vista so it's very difficult to diagnose or debug any vista-related problems :( Sorry

Actually the lag had nothing to do with the CreateCursors hack you guys used. It had to do with Eternity calling the input event gathering loop more than once per tick. This caused nearly 75% of mouse motion events to be lost. These issues are fixed now in SVN

Graf nailed the Legacy wads, as for EE there is always OPF (shameless plug) http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=12997 there was another wad release for EE but I can't remember where it is... It had a fully new palette and tons of new textures and was really good though... >_<

We've been throwing around the framerate cap problem, but as of yet we haven't resolved the issues of doing so and maintaining demo comp to my satisfaction. As far as the resolution cap, yeah, that's in the plans... somewhere... I think it's near the bottom of my todo list.

you know what would be even better? flagSet(actor, mf_solid, mf_shootable); if(checkFlag(actor, mf_solid)) { //BLAH } Often, the fewer letters a script writer has to type the better.
-
See I would prefer something with a syntax closer to C, but that's probably because I code in C... :\
-
Wait... so what you guys (CodeImp/Graf) are saying is you don't want the ability to simultaneously reference groups of lines/sectors via a tag and reference individual lines/sectors via IDs?
-
Works on my machine. What version are you using?

Nice! Now for the full documentation on the wiki... Anyone? Heh

.... maybe this isn't a good idea after all. :P
-
AHA No. Portals like this have been my idea since my Legacy coding days before Zdoom had the build renderer in it or mirrors or skyboxes. I attempted to implement the idea several times in Legacy as a way to avoid using 3D Floors for large scale 3d geometry however, the feature mostly resulted in crashes... so the idea was scrapped until I joined Team Eternity and tried my hand at the idea again.

Get some serious slowdowns when seeing swirl floors in this EE version. Also some weird HOMs on floor portals from certain angles. These didn't happen in the previous engine. Best Regards.

screenshots? bug demo wads? anything?

A link to the wad this is happening with would be most appreciated. My internet is cutting in and out so IRC isn't an option for me right now
