Pretty cool, I finally get to see the source of the saying. Is that the original dialogue or is it the movie-maker doing voice acting through one of those things that alters voices?

Had what could be described as a mini-hurricane this morning, with dark skies, thunder/lightning, wind and rain moving quickly together, flooding my street completely (which is the first time I've ever seen it happen!). And it finished as abruptly as it had begun, now it's all hot and sticky again. (it was even sunny beforehand!)

British weather pwns all others! (not)

Heheheh, I got a new custom tag created today - I posted a fake "newproject" tag in yet another of those "I'm making a new project but I need a team" threads, and guess what....someone actually created the tag!!!

The Doomworld FAQ will tell you how to do this, and may also answer any other questions you may have about newstuff. The wad will then be reviewed on Sunday by myself or one of the other reviewers. I really should post something in here, as I haven't done so for a while - but apart from seeing another car with 'UAC' in the registration, I can't think of anything else.

BTW, what sort of game was it?

I was playing a Heretic map the other day, when I saw a monster attacking one of those mini-volcanoes! Then a few seconds later I saw another monster attacking another volcano! Weird ZDoom behaviour!

Quickly, I grabbed some screenies and here they are for your viewing pleasure.

If doing most of map 25 and the finishing touches to map 29 wasn't enough, I now get to do map 24 as well! More hellish-mapping practice for me then... (which is handy, as I'm less than a map away from doing the hellish maps for Super Sonic DooM - which is going to be put on hold again...)

btw (for those who've forgotten or don't know), Plutonia II is a megawad designed to be a sequel to the best megawad ever (Plutonia), has been in production for 2 years and is nearly complete. It also has a seriously up-to-date site.

It's been a while since I did a blog thread, so here it is.

Next week (Wednesday in fact), I'm changing from narrowband to broadband (hooray!). Soon I'll be able to do stuff 5x faster, go on the web whenever I want (no phones), and of course visit DW even more often than I do now (and that's often). Who knows, I might even venture into the world of deathmatch, watch this space.

In other news, I've finished map 19 of SSD (currently working on a cool part of map 20), grabbed a couple of great albums, I'll be visiting my 4th live robot combat event in 7 weeks (don't ask me how, it's just timing and placing) and looking forward to the new footie season, which kicks off tomorrow.

Anyway, that's it for now.

oh yeah, it's my birthday on Sunday, when I'm doing newstuff....wait a minute, that means I'm doing newstuff on my birthday! Yay!

(shame about this week's wads, though....so far....)
