    Dmapedit problem

boris, I tried upping the memory in DosBox and it didn't work. GreyGost, Thanks for the link to the source. I'll take a look at it, but I know nothing about coding.

    Dmapedit problem

I think you're right GreyGhost. Thanks for the time and trouble you put in to this. Why there is a limit doesn't make any since to me. I went back over the level and deleted some sectors so I could finish it. I guess I'll keep an eye on how many sectors I use, or change level editors. Thanks again.

    Dmapedit problem

I'm running it under DosBox 0.73 on Windows XP Pro (SP 2).

    Dmapedit problem

Not the same map, but kind of. I don't know anybody around here who would know what I'm talking about.

    Dmapedit problem

    I've tried that. Didn't work.

    Dmapedit problem

I know this is very old-school, but I seem to have a problem with sectors in one of my levels. I can only have 510 sectors. If I put in one more, when I save it, Dmapedit locks up when it tries to generate the reject bitmap. Is there a limit to the number of sectors in Dmapedit? If there is, is there away to get around it? Or have I over looked something? Please, don't tell me to get DoomBuilder or Deepsea. I would really like an answer to my question.

    reject bitmap lockup

My OS is win98 and I'm running Zdoom on dmapedit. Yeah, I've tried other map editors, but I've been using dmapedit for all my maps. I would like to use deepsea, but you have to regestor it and I really don't have the money right now.

    reject bitmap lockup

I having a problem with dmapedit. In the map I'm working in, when I add another sector and try to play the map, dmapedit locks up at Generating Reject Bitmap. I have to Ctrl-Alt-Del and restart dmapedit. I can do anything except add another sector. When I restart dmapedit everything's back to the same before I tried to save the new sector.

    dummy sectors

I'm trying to do some special effects in a wad I'm working on and I'm having trouble with "dummy sectors". Just what do they do and how do you set them up?

    combining wads into one wad

MYK, thanks for the sarcasm. Really big help. I've been trying to get this to work without any help files. I did get it to work after just clicking on things and seeing what happens. Thank to all who helped me.

    combining wads into one wad

I got xwe to work, but still have no help.I've to murge wads, but it's not working. I can murge the wads and xwe shows that there are two maps there, but when I play the wad I can only play the second map not the first. This is getting frustrating. Is there another program I can use?

    combining wads into one wad

Now I'm having trouble with xwe. I can't get the help to work. When I click on help I get the listing and when I click on anything I get the headings, but when I click on the heading I get a blank black box. I have reloaded it and get the same thing.

    combining wads into one wad

Epyo, thanks for xwe. I found one problem. I wasn't changeing the map numbers. Both were e1m1. Also, I screwed something up and dmapedit quit working. I'm having to reload everything (thank god I backed up my levels). When I get every thing back up, I'll try again.
  15. LUCKY MUD

    combining wads into one wad

Maybe I should rephrase my queston. I have two different levels in two different Wads. I would like to combine the two levels into one Wad, so I can play level 1 and then start level 2 without ending the game and then loading level 2.
