  1. I get the crash report window ("ZDoom Very Fatal Error") with "Access Violation" (always 00000000 trying to be read each time it crashes, too) in the "Summary" area. Not sure what relevant details I should post from this window. Edit:// Ok, just tried ZDoom again, and it seemed to work fine for the brief time that I played it (about 15 minutes). Tried GZDoom again, but still got the same crash within a couple of minutes of playing it. So, just GZDoom crashing, it seems. Edit2:// My system specs, just in case: Windows 7 32-bit GeForce GTX 260 AMD Phenom II X3 720 (2800 Mhz) 4GB RAM Edit3:// Well, I wish I had figured this out before submitting a bug report, but turns out I copied over the latest GZDoom revison (1.9pre-406 as of now) but to the wrong location and still had ZDL pointing to an older revision. I've sorted that out now, and ZDCMP2 RC2 seems to be working fine, crash free. Edit4:// Well, I'll just edit this post again because I don't want to bump the thread for this. I just finished the map, and wow, that one was heck of an experience! Excellent job to all those involved! I'll have to go back and grab all the secrets some time.
  2. I'm also having the issue where it crashes after a couple minutes in, with both GZDoom and ZDoom. I've updated to the latest dev builds as of today (GZDoom, 1.9pre-406 and ZDoom, 2.8pre-183).
  3. After this newest release, zombies and imps don't fall over when you kick or shoot them while they are suffering and incapacitated from fatal wounds. Used to enjoy doing that. Plus, they still obstruct your path when they are in that state, so it's useful to be able to get them out of the way.
  4. Getting a "Permission Denied" error on the version that includes music. Tried the lite version, but it seems to disable the high-quality music when you copy over the new files. Edit:// Well, I've nothing to complain about anymore with this latest release, looking good. I played to Map09 of Doom 2, and I haven't had that weapon-switching issue again, either. Edit2:// From below: Thanks, worked like a charm. No need to re-download the larger standard version this way.
  5. It's nice to see a mod as complete as this for Edge that you can play through the vanilla episodes with. The improved music also nicely side-steps the midi volume issue in later versions of Windows. I just have a few quibbles (although some of them might just be part of the design): -The red haze effect of the berserk power-up stays visible for the duration of the level. It makes things rather hard to see, especially in darker areas. -The fall damage is a bit annoying in some of the vanilla maps where falling is hard to avoid (the staggered lifts in map09 of Doom 2, for example). -Weapons automatically switch sometimes, even with this option disabled in Edge. Seems to happen sporadically. Running out of ammo also causes the marine to switch to his fists. -The spread of the chaingun seems a bit too wide, even in short-mid range. I understand this is to balance out its power and rate of fire, but the wind-up and recoil also do this to a degree. Otherwise, I really like what you've done with this enhancement.

    I don't know if this is a bug report or a request for help. On Map 3, I've pushed both the button near the yellow key and the one that pops up as a result. Nothing seems to have happened. I can't go into the other door with the four commando-like dudes (says I need the yellow key). And I can't go back though the blue door before that as it asks for the red key (bit strange, that). I hope this was the appropriate place for this... Edit://I'm using PRBoom v2.4.4 and Freedoom v0.4.1
