I'm assuming you mean how gun bans don't actually decrease violent crimes in the nations where they're banned.

How about an entire playlist of weird, crappy indie games like this one where you whack a bathroom ghost with a broom?

what are you working on? I wanna see your wads.

Experimenting with horror mods based on my scary stories for a change of pace. -
Got a good chunk of this finished and would like some feedback on clarity, tension, character, etc. This follows the last three Doom books I wrote, but hopefully you don't need to read them to understand what's going on. Each book is adapted from an episode of Doom, with this one being the fourth.

What's 1 quirky thing about the place you live?
Impie replied to ReeseJamPiece's topic in Everything Else
Phoenix and Himeji are sister cities, and we show our love for our sister city with the Japanese Friendship Garden, Ro Ho En. -
On my site or on fanfiction.net.

JohnnyTheWolf is alive and well in the comments of other people's youtube videos of my stuff, where he continues to harass and libel me by proxy. I see Enjay on zdoom forums pretty regularly.

Tried throwing together my own little cover images today.

It'll probably get worse before it gets better, but I'm confident it'll get better, and we'll probably see signs of that in our lifetime. A lot of people are wise to that shit now, especially the newer generation. It's scary, but I think this decade is a time of significant and turbulent change, hopefully for the better.

Man, that was a hard thread title to come up with. So there have been many instances for myself, and probably for a lot of you, where I saw a movie on TV as a kid, and it stuck with me for some reason, lurking in the deepest, darkest recesses of my memory where it only resurfaced once in a while to make me think, "What the hell was that movie, anyway?" Then maybe 20 years later I'd finally find out what the movie was and watch it again for the sake of posterity and curiosity. Post examples of this if you have them. TC-2000 is the first one I think of when this subject comes up. It's a weird post-apoc martial arts film starring Billy Blanks and Bolo Yeung. It's a fun watch if you don't mind martial arts fight scenes that go on forever, like they often do in these movies. I saw it on TV one boring saturday afternoon when I was young. The main reason I remembered it? The Exploding Watermelon Fist technique. Bolo uses this technique three times, first a subdued version of it in his intro scene, when his arena opponent uses the referee as a shield: Bolo punches the ref, and the force of the punch travels harmlessly through him and knocks the opponent on his ass. Silly martial arts fantasy stuff, but cool as hell nonetheless. Later he perfects the technique so that it's extremely lethal, and uses it on the iconic watermelon, sitting safely on the other side of a board. At the end Bolo fights Matthias Hues, who blocks the door to the control room where Bolo needs to go to stop a missile launch countdown. He proceeds to use Matthias as a stand-in for the watermelon. Also if you were wondering where the design for Eternal Champions' Blade came from, it was probably this movie.

Third episode added. It's a bit of a mixed bag, but has some cool new stuff and a bunch of minor fixes to the preexisting assets. Give it a try and post any issues or suggestions for the final version!

That's not what I'm asking for. Did you ever see a movie/show/game as a kid where you had no idea what it was, and didn't find out 'til years later?

what would a wolfenstein movie look like?

Matching a MIDI with a Map – Visuals or Gameplay?
Impie replied to RonnieJamesDiner's topic in Doom General
I strongly feel both are a factor. If the map is fast-paced, a slow-paced track won't work; but it also won't work if the map is medieval themed, but the track is very techno. So when I look for an appropriate music track I try to find something that fits the overall personality of the map. -
The robocop fan site confirms this. Leftover food from the caterer was put in a pot and left to liquefy into a hideous mess, then they put it in water balloons and threw it at the car as it drove past. I'm not sure which is nastier, honestly: the in-universe event, or how they created it.

ADVICE WANTED: help me i literally can't make maps more detailed than the iwads wtf is wrong with me
Impie replied to Doomkid's topic in WAD Discussion
Neither do I, man. Ain't nothing wrong with that at all. Go for gameplay over insane micro-details. -
Sounds like me and this weird movie that ends with the kid protagonists almost getting eaten by giant acid-drooling penguins smashing their way through the roof.

Things speedrunners/players (or yourself) do that annoy you?
Impie replied to TheNoob_Gamer's topic in Doom General
Insist on playing ultra violence cos ur so hardcore dude. Bitch and moan that the mod is hard. Insist on save-spamming through the whole thing, bitching and moaning all the while, instead of switching to another difficulty setting cos ur so hardcore dude. -
I busted up laughing when I finally realized what you were talking about. I'm lucky I didn't see that movie when I was too young, cos that bit still grosses me out.
