Afrer playing the suburbs map in freedoom, I think a cyberpunk world overrun by demons as the game begins is a good idea.While playing doom 3 and watching the news cast in the breakroom at the begining of the game, I found the doom 3 world cyberpunk.

I don't mean to be crass but I just tried to give a new spin on an old idea.Whatever Doom 4s setting is I will like it.Gameplay makes a game not story(even though story enhances the experince).I like any game id makes.Sure I have my favorites but, I have got used to ids way of making games.And the game,if it be in medevil setting(which I hate)or future I will like it.And when Id made the hexen\heretic series I liked the story.So lets just say id has good taste. P.S. who wants a 3d commander keen to kill in doom 4!

I just finished replaying TNT/Evilution.It had a good ending.I know some day the Plutonia II mod will come out.But how about giving Evilution a follow up,made by fans for fans of Evilution.Also out of all the doom endings Evilution ties more loose ends than any of the endings.But it also hints at a follow up. SOMETHING RUMBLES IN THE DISTANCE. A BLUE LIGHT BEGINS TO GLOW INSIDE THE RUINED SKULL OF THE DEMON-SPITTER. Some day...

Another thing is that in Final Doom, I think it was a choose your own ending type thing.Plutonia OR TNT/Evilution.And I have been playing through quake 3 arena and saw a small icon of sin in the "lost world" map.So all Id games may be connected some how.By way of alternate dimensions.

I have the original quake manual and don't remember a "event" happining.It but it says this: You get the phone call at 4 a.m.By 5:30 you're in the secret installation.The commander explains tersely, "It's about the Slipgate device. Once we perfect these,we'll be able to use them to transport people and cargo from one place to another instantly."An enemy is using his own slipgates to insert death squads inside our bases to kill, steal, and kidnap..."The hell of it is we have no idea where he's from.Our top scientists think he's not from Earth, but another dimension and this enemy is targeting this our world."You're our best man. This is Operation Counterstrike and you're in charge. Find this enemy and stop him ... or it ... Since the enemy's killers came through,it is still set to his dimension.You can use it to get loose in his den.Maybe you can get to the enemy personally. You pump a round into your shotgun, and get moving. After you beat an episode you get story text as well.

Forgot to mention the last strike dm teams "escape from phobos". I hope some one will complete it.

I did not like daedalus too much.Even though I loved icarus. And is Team TNT still alive! Eternal DOOM IV looked too cool to be true!

It could be possible all id games from the Doom universe to the quake 2 universe could be conected somehow.But that does not give quake 1 a sequel. Wolfenstein 3d might be in there too. But I think they are not conected, like the "pathways into darkness" up to "marathon" idea about the old mac games from bungie.

I think Doom 4 should be a new take on hell on earth. Doomguy from Doom3:RoE should be on earth and a fugitive running from the UAC.Rather than set it in a post-invasion setting it should concern the UAC in a cyberpunk setting still messing with teleportation tech and using demon DNA. I consider it to be totaly differnt from the core concept but 1/4 way through the game having the invasion start would be neat. Why Doomguy from RoE?He looks like he has an evil side he needs to control.

I think RAGE is a welcome change. When Id said they had a new ip I thought they were tricking us. I thought it would be a new Catacomb 3d game.After seeing RAGE I'm happy its not.Its good to see some new ideas thrown into the mix.

Thank you zap610 I never got to play through all of nehahra and should revisit it. No offense but the quake II universe lacks anything original. And does not have a spooky atmosphere. In quake 4 it was a nice touch to become half strogg but that didn't save it. Also shubys full name is shub-niggurath.She(yes she) is named after the H.P. Lovecraft mythos creature.

Look all I want is somebody to tell me the end or make an end to the games. Yes quake 1 had a story were you travel to differnt dimensions and fight strage creatures. And as far as doom goes most megawads like requiem don't have a story! I think strong stories help with atmosphere. And who is phil? Is he a doctor?

Quake 1 Mission pack 2 Dissolution of Eternity ends with a huge lose end.Who is quake?And Final Dooms endings leave the game open. Since I posted this I replayed quake and the two mission packs. Is this for the mod makers? Samething with final doom? True Id sequals have never been made! And mission packs i.e. final doom,quake mission pack 1&2 aren't normaly considered cannon. Help!

Hi I'm new here. I find that Rage reminds me of Strife alot. Tim Willits was involved in Strife and is now a part of id software. I read the story on gamespot a comet crashed into the earth and devistated it.Strife!
