Other M's gameplay is nothing like Devil May Cry's. Besides, Devil May Cry's gameplay is awesome and you'll get raped pretty hard if you just button mash in those games. Anyway, not too far into this one yet. Just a little past the spread shot. It's okay minus the loltastic dialogue and whatnot. One complaint I have is that the game's just so damn dark, though that could just be my TV.

I am sorely disappointed at the fact that this isn't a Doom-themed disco album.

Fucking cops always think I'm some kind of druggie. Never touched any of that stuff. It's the wild bushy hair isn't it, you stereotyping bastards :(

I own a home security business. -
I vote against Heretic 32in24 because I don't have the game therefore would not be able to participate (I greatly prefer Doom anyway), and what's a 32in24 without jolly ol' brinks?

No. It looks like an improvement over previous works of his I've seen, but comparing it to Suspended in Dusk is just taking things a little bit too far.

Anyway, how I feel about this wad has been covered by many others already. Honestly, it has some pretty neat ideas, but it's dragged down by poor execution and boring map design.

I'm guessing you just discovered the oh so joyous wonders of zdoom, huh?

Just a waste of time to read this!

Hey jerks, I got Bingo first but forgot to call it. Can I get a do-over? -
No, it's not.

I'm going to be the negative nelly and say that all of the rooms look very copypasta and symmetrical. Vary it up a little, man.

He doesn't. The door remains completely stationary. He just moves the entire world around it.

So they're interviewing you about practically recreating an old game in an even older game? How enthralling. Also, out of morbid curiosity, why is this being ported to like 10 different consoles?

Clarification: He said one little tiny thing about the map was bullshit (the lifts), not the whole thing. Also, he gave you suggestions on how to improve it. Did you really read that post?
-
I don't see how Jodwin's post was insulting at all. A bit blunt maybe, but that's a good thing IMO. Blunt criticism's much better than peppy sugar-coated crap as it spares you the bullshit and lays the faults out right in front of you. Go ahead and make maps however you want. After all, they're your work. But at least try to listen to advice more experienced members give you. It may be harsh at times, but it'll help you improve in the end.

Wasting my time with crap like this when I have other more high-priority maps I should be working on. Yay!

Dragon Ball Z's great for some mindless super macho entertainment. Yeah, the original Z kinda dragged shit out (lol 5 minutes till Namek goes boom), but the recent remake (Dragon Ball Z Kai) condenses stuff and gets rid of all the filler. So yeah, just shut off your brain and enjoy the copious amounts of ass kicking.

Noah. When those 40 days and nights of torrential downpour come, he'll be safe on his ark. Everyone else is fucked.

Posting just to say that I posted in the thread where this all started.

Plutonia Revisited Community Project: Released!
brinks replied to esselfortium's topic in WAD Releases & Development
Heh. I'd actually love to finish it, as it would be a shame to let what's currently done go to waste, but upon further testing it seems that a few rooms (such as the large central area in shot 2, which plays a vital part in the map's layout) kinda shit all over the segs limit. I'm not sure if I can get it down within the limits while keeping the overall layout in tact. -
Plutonia Revisited Community Project: Released!

Not gonna make any guarantees, but I've got a plutonia map I was working on a year or two ago that I could donate if (and that's a really big if) I decide to finish it. Map's in vanilla format, but probably needs some work to be vanilla compatible, as I'm sure it probably pushes a few of the limits. -

The Orange Box, which gave me a crippling addiction to TF2.
