    Sprinting and Doom1

    I started to realize the sprinting in this game is ridiculous. Remember how strangely easy doom1 was.. almost like it was made for some-won who's not running like a maniac constantly dodging every fireball and avoiding being malay atacked by the bull demons with ease. Could it have been harder because it was harder to sprint wile fighting back in the days when it was a supernintendo/playstation game? I remember being a kid playing doom for playstation and it seemed much harder to dodge attacks, meby this is why. Enyway i changed my sprinting control to a odd button like "v" and it causes me to have to play alot more tactically. Has enywon else experimented with changing the sprint control form "Shift"?

    thats just what i suspected, cursed efficient computer control's.. It does make deathmatch and capture the flag allot funner. I remember people kicking my ass allot, then i switched to keyboard and mouse for the first time and suddenly being able to compete with them.

    sometimes on my spare time i like to fill capture the flag maps and/or death match maps with monsters all strategically positioned to kick my ass and i try to see if i can survive, i know its a really cheap thrill and that any won can do it, but its rely fun, would i be grossly insulted for positing maps that other people made with monsters from other mods in them all over the place? i could see why people might get angry at me, but its just for fun and i would totally put them in the credits

    there were some prety clever traps in there, and i always somehow manege to prevail at the end of the level with 6% health that is a rare feature great job

    an actually GOOD doom movie

    obviously the doom3 movie was just another piece of shit action movie and it would appear that they saw doom3 the game for ps3 or whatever coming out and said, "hey, we can make a quick buck on all this publicity this video game is getting!" and splat... you get this as a long time doom2 player i would like to see a doom movie based on how scary as hell doom is when your hi or young or drunk or whatever, it would go like this... there would be no to very little talking.. the creepy soundtrack from finaldoom always present in the background and the wimpy marine that has to go in with a pistol looking for his dead buddy's with nothing more than a cheaply made space marine outfit ( military standards cheep, not prop standards cheep) each seen would play out like the marine walking around in this haunted military base.. than things get more hellish as he moves on at the end... the monsters should be actors in all real costumes, "this is what i liked about the movie aliens, they were animitronick, but still, made of real stuff, no c.g.i. shit".. any won else thought about what an actually kick ass doom movie would be like?

    there is a doom editing program called deepsea that has a function that lets you import mp3's http://www.sbsoftware.com/ its quite crappy for level editing but its file import tools are very useful.

    well meby not people in costumes but animitronick creatures like in aliens, but they would have to be really well made and lots of them.. i don't know, what would you say the monsters be like?

    a long time ago i remember finding a wad in the archives that made the game look all green like nite vision goggles, there was won that made every thing red like infrared vision with it as well, any won know what it was or ware it is now? i wanted to use it with mtron.wad to make it seem more like i was the robot

    i'm getting into doom level making and i already know most of the basics and can make things like doors and stuff but cant make things like stairs,lifts and switches rather Thain asking question after question whats the best tutorial for the latest version of doom builder out there?

    i spent meny owers creating a monster sprite replacement for the bull demon and when it was finaly finished and i went to check it out in a level, it keeps cliping inside the ground, like its on a difrent plane thain all the other sprites, even withought its dehacked work it still does it and i just cant figure out whi its dooing this i tryed evrything and am about to just throw the hole project in the trash

    are thair any mods out thair that add the effects of the nightmair skill level to doom withought actuly changing the skill level? for instince having all the monsters respawn and move extra fast but be able to play it on lower skill levels, i looked threw the combos section but dident realy see anything
