got this wierd thing in my wad. in one of the rooms theres this wierd light effect comming off a crate. it's like a beam of light that starts at the crate and run to the player, getting smaller as it get nearer. the light runs along the floor and ceiling, follows the player, and gets blocked by walls. it would be a cool effect if it where intentional, but its not. anybody knows what it is and how to fix it. I'm using wadauthor.

just another retarded question about bsp. is the glbsp only good for making maps for opengl, or would it also work for plain old 256 color mode. I notice that most of the pwads I own (including the one I'm building) have missing textures and HOM's in legacy opengl. is it because of node building?

I'm just building a regular old doom II level, no ports involved. I haven't been able to try a solution yet as I've been entertaining some old friends who are in the usmc during fleet week.

hey there, still working on my first wad and want to spice up some rooms. one thing I've been trying to pull off unsuccesfully are computer consoles for the security room and lab areas. oh, what are the spawn spots for in the enemy things list for. can I make guys pop out of nowhere or do I have to make a secret room with teleporters in them. any help is appreciated

I kinda like it. the shadows give it a real creepy look, but you really can't make out the face. what do the teeth look like? does it have a nose? I can't tell. does it show a clearer shot in the video?

I'm still learning how to make classic doom maps so doom 3 edit would probably be out of the question. I probably wont even have time to edit cuz I'll most likely be playing doom 3 all the time.

it was rough, but after an hour or so I fixed it all. I'm getting the hang of it. I threw an incomplete version of my wad on /incoming, but am still working on the rest of it. should be done soon.

the wad I was building with wadauthor got screwed up. heights, sidedefs, lighting, everything. all I did was put in a table like structure in one room. has this happened to anyone else before? what can I do? AAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGHHHH!!!!!!!
