I hope you get the chance to see them. I absolutely loved it. I'm wondering if this is a reference to something in particular? It sounds funny so I'm curious

-I rent my house. It's small but I feel it's a great value for the money. -I have a neighbor who is nice enough, but he's the most boring person and talks too much. -Bills are always paid but I certianly don't have much to spare. Still in a traineeship so the wage is somewhat low. -The missus will probably cook it, but maybe a pasta bake with lots of chopped veggies? Just a guess though. -One car. -Sometimes get it serviced, sometimes change the oil myself, sometimes when dad is in town he decides to do it for me which is awesome. -I much prefer driving, unless it's in crowded city traffic. I dont mind moderate to light traffic at all though, then I can happily drive for quite a while. -About 60-70 minutes getting to work, then the same getting home. -Happily married. -Not currently planning on kids. -Currently have an adorable 10 year old german shepard. Comparing owning a pet to having a baby seems very strange to me. -Some days I have the luxury of field work, but most days I'm in the office, so far too many hours. When I come home I want to play doom or do doomy things for a while, so it stacks up. Once I'm fully employed, I'll be switching over to field work as much as possible. -A clean house feels nice, so I try to keep it relatively clean, but if it's messy I don't freak out or anything, I just wait til I (and the missus) have the energy to clean. -I don't get enough cardiovascular exercise in, I lift a bit of weights though. -I had an idea that coming by money meant pissing away 70% of your life to "the man". I came to accept that frustrating fact before I was even employed, but the idea is to get high enough up that the money is at least worth the time. -I had an idea that politics were important from a young age. I was taught in childhood that the government is in charge of legislation and allocation of tax dollars, so it's always been something that's interested me. Even when it's frustrating or depressing, I always try to stay politically informed. -Doom is still appealing, but I miss out on 99% of new releases and modern smash hits. I frankly just don't have the time between work, home life, and how much more fun Doom is than any of them anyway. -I changed a light bulb about two weeks ago in my bathroom. Also this is the worst question on the list. -Hopefully you didn't waste your time reading all this.

Xpadder is a pretty damn good for using controllers to play PC games.

Some of these bands look pretty damn awesome! Very cool idea for a thread. Guitar: Tosin Abasi, Frank Zappa Vox: Paul Young, Phil Anselmo Bass: Mike Flores (No YouTube vids do Mike Flores justice, saw Origin live and my jaw was on the floor. He's the Tosin Abasi of bass.) Keyboard/Synth: George Duke Drums: Mitch Mitchell I think these musician's styles would blend to make something amazing.. Something way out there, groovy, intense, soulful and aggressive. All these dudes are capable of playing mind blowing stuff at any speed, too - Slow, fast, it doesn't matter, they can rock it as hard as it can be rocked. My ears would love it.

Absolutely this. In the wake of the new Doom having a badass SP campaign but crummy MP, this will hit that deathmatch lover's spot that's been neglected for so long. EDIT: Did a bit more reading. Kinda disappointed that it's class based, but I suppose it could still be alright. Overwatch is not my cup of tea at all, so this could still be worthwhile.

Personally I'd love to see another pack for ZD/Zandronum that's purely NS focused. Essentially the same thing but with no vanilla/OS maps, I would happily host such a compilation on Doomshack. As it stands most duel compilations are 75% or more OS oriented, as a result the selection of newschool turf is extremely limited and honestly needs to be played with different DMflags anyway.

I remember noticing it the first time I ever played since the screen goes yellow for like 3-4 seconds in the vanilla exe. It's kinda strange how the message is only displayed once even though you get 10. I'm curious to check what it does in vanilla if you stack 10 items of a different type..

I believe he's talking about TERApack by Maikl_Russia. I'm googling it and having trouble finding a link though, but it's hosted on ZDaemon, that much I know for sure.

MASSIVE updates, check the OP - Added a lobby that is compatible with Zandronum, ZDaemon and Odamex, yet still retains Vanilla compatibility. Also fixed any issues with music and skies that used to be present. The filename is now "duelpack.wad". Enjoy the updates! DOWNLOAD

Gotta love how his father essentially says "it's not because of his religion, it's because gays made him angry" as if the former isn't clearly the reason for the latter in this instance - he fucking outright said it himself. I was born in Orlando, a lot of people are hurting bad there right now. My condolences to them and their loved ones. What a terrible tragedy..

There's a midi of This Love by Pantera out there that is quite good and sounds like an extended Doom remix if you change the instruments to be the same as their Doom counterparts. A big bundle of edited MIDIs in this ilk would be pretty cool!

You know, to stand in a base that was a somewhat accurate replica of e1m1 while looking out over Yangshuo cavern would honestly be incredible.
