And da reason da pic looks off slightly is because most "professional" photogrophers touch up their pics of singers/models/actresses so dat any flaws dat they might have don't show up in da pics (ex. scars, blemishes, etc.). It supposed ta add more "sex appeal" to em! -

It's cool dawg, I wants to do da work mahself. I just wanted some input from different peeps out there, and I figured dat someone might have a basic idea dat could help me out. Most of da colors are pretty close to the original doom ones, and the other ones I could probably look into hexen for ideas on their colormapping. I just want to improve on it because I think the original doom2 colormap sucks!
When I'm done though, if ya want I can send you the wad so dat you can see if you can spot any little mistakes in da way I did it. I'll need some help testin da shit anyways, and right now it's goin pretty good! Thanks a lot anyways, though!

Well Fred, thanks for all yo help man! I imported da graphics, da palette is is finished and when Ichecked everything out only about 4 textures, and 9 flats need to be touched up (all 8 mud frames, and one other flat!).
Now I just gots ta do 31 FUCKIN' COLORMAPS! I've tried messin' with the black/grey/silver colors so far, lowerin' da colors for each colormap by intervals of 8 for brightness... but this hasn't been too successful so far.
(256 possible shades of black/32 colormaps=8 shades per map)
Da reason bein' dat in doom as you get closer to an object the brightness increases until it reaches 255 (max light). Even if you is in a pitch dark room this shit happens. I even notcied dat if you fire your weapon in a room, and there is another room door open dat leades to say a darker area, BOTH rooms will get lit up. Not just da room you are in. Now dis shit REALLY needs to be fixed!
I'm gonna mess around with the colormapping more but so far, it hasn't gotten anywhere, because no matter what I do the colormapping seems to keep comin' out TOO dark! And I need to find some kind of pattern dat works, because I'm tryin' to make da colormapping look more detailed and realistic. In doom, 90% of the colors end up lookin' brown when you are in dark rooms, and it looks really shitty! I'm doin it manually to make sure it looks as tight as possible!
Any of ya'll peeps out there got any idvice or ideas? -

And I'll tell ya'll peeps somethin... yes I did have da power of a mod (delete/move/close threads, viewing da admin forum, editing ANYONE's posts) and I had a chance to wreak havoc upon these fuckin' forums!
But.... did I do any of dat..... NO!! Ling helped me out and did me a huge favor.... he actually trusted dat I wouldn't start actin' like an ass and messin' with da forums.... dat's cuz he knows I'm not an asshole! I don't fuck peeps over dat is nice to me or help me out! You best believe dat!
