  1. Well, I'm finally back to normal. The new implant tooth is in, the bone graphs are done and I'm off the antibiotics. I required a larger bone graph than the dentist expected. The infection traveled nearly to my back molars. So the dentist re-enforced the entire area from both the back and front of my jaw. Thankfully he didn't have to remove any teeth.

I am talking to a couple lawyers now that I have the final cost of everything. It's just a matter of picking the right lawyer for the job and starting the case. While I do not have the exact figure in front of me, I do know it is over 6k for all of the dental work. Add in my time off work for the surgery and recovery time and the grand total is around 8k. I'm pushing for 9k with pain and suffering included. Might not get the 1k for pain and suffering, but it's worth a shot.

Interesting fact, bone graphs are typically done with frozen cow bone or cadaver bone. More or less healthy bone is harvested from one or the other, freeze dried and made into a paste or powder. Don't know what if I got cow or cadaver bone and I really don't care. I'm just glad that the dental work is done.

A continuation from this blog that I must have missed a while back.

Thats pretty wild! I'm glad you're feeling better, and hope you get the compensation you deserve. Teeth problems are scary.

Congrats on getting better. I had dry socket once after having a wisdom tooth out and it was like spending a week in hell. It was constant torture, I couldn't function properly. God only knows what you must have gone through.
