  1. After taking the summer off I began applying to what will be my first job (I never worked in high school or college). I was prepared for a long and stressful job hunt, but my first application led to an interview which led to a job offer. Later this month I will start work as a software developer.

Good luck to everyone looking for a job. Keep your head up, crazy stuff happens.

Congrats. I hope it works out.

I spent the summer trying to start up a design studio, but I think I'm going to break down and get temp work. I might get a hook-up with a lucrative job, but I'm not too excited about the Dilbert-like atmosphere and reporting to HQ in NYC.

Thank you. Again good luck to you as well. Don't get stuck in grad school forever.

Dilbert-like atmospheres never bothered me. My dad would take me to work when I was younger so I was practically raised in one. Besides, all I do is sit at my computer all day anyway.

The place I'll be working is more of a lab environment though, so I'm not quite working the cubicle farm yet.
