Hi all, so how does exactly SetCameraToTexture work? Cause I've tried it with no luck, do I actually need to create blank textures for each camera I want to have like this? Or how? Thanks

that would be made by scripting, and if you want to show those persons talking you will have to do a camera change. Overall everything you said is done by scripting.

So I've downloaded a wav sound that I've imported to my wad trough XWE I tried to play it with script AmbientSound("ALARM1", 100); but nothing happened, how can I fix this, and how can I make it loop until canceled?

Oh I thought it was just import / write :D ok thanks a lot, I will look at it. Edit: Ok, so it works but it doesn't loop. How can I start the loop and how to stop it then?

Hey all, so I've finished a 1 map (for now) wad. I used greenwar textures so credits goes to authors. There is 1 bug which I will probably change. You must not pass the line twice when you will activate it (you'll see).Also does not include music, level names, par times, difficulty. Sorry no screens because they are screwed. I thought it was too easy so I had to make it a bit challenging, yeah I plan to continue to do that wad, to learn scripting better, also mapping.

Edit: Ok, So I've find a problem that I can't solve, I want to make a script that will require 2 switches to open a door. This is quite complicated for me. Each switch will say "1 of 2 lock is unlocked" and the 2nd "2 of 2 lock is unlocked" how can I do that for both switches? And the door to say "It is locked, you must unlock it elsewhere" but after hitting both switches it will open.

Hey all, I have a frustrating problem, when I try to run any wads by dragging it over GZDoom.exe it always runs Ultimate Doom and I can only play that, even if I drag Doom2.wad. It used to work like that but now I can't play anything like that, e.g. I want to play kdizd.zip but runs the Ultimate Doom, how can I fix this?

when I rename doom.wad to .wad.bak and I try to run a wad it says Fatal Error Execution could not continue. Cannot find a game IWAD.. but I'll try what Nomad showed.

That I know also, it was what I said that I could build it up but when created a dummy sector the things showed in it are enlarged. That's why I want a texture skybox e.g. like when you create mountain textures so I would want something like that but refinery. I know about that, I was thinking that I could just build the skybox but it would have to be extremely large and the height would be screwed since sky viewpoint enlarges the things infront of it.

Hey, I have never done this before but I have read about it on zdoom wiki. So if I understand correctly the ceiling height of the dummy sector is the floor on the sector that I want to have the floor and the floor on the dummy sector is the bottom of the floor on the sector that I want? E.G. normal sector has its ceiling height of 848 and floor 720 between them is a sector with 840 ceiling and 0 floor I want that 3D floor there so I've set the dummy sector ceiling height to 720 and floor to 520 and its not working I have the linetag 160 on it but nothing, what am I doing wrong? Thanks

Hi, I couldn't fit my question into the topic title so here it is: I need someone who is good at making doomlike graphics. What I exactly mean is that I need someone who can make some pictures (road signs) remake to a doomlike. You know so it would graphically fit into the game, I don't want high quality textures, but I don't know how to create that effect. So could anyone help me?

Yes I want those from the picture but doing some generic isn't bad, you can continue doing those generic but try to focus on those in the image. The wad I am planning to do is that you will start in a house/mansion then you go down the road to the city (where most of the signs will be used) afterward to the highway so I guess I will need those highway signs (but those later, when I will be at that point I'll PM you if you wont mind) during some road travel there will be few abandoned areas you'll go through then you finally reach the research facility or something like that and then I'll decide what next. But those signs could be useful for something else later too, you could upload it to realm667 more user may find it useful too. yeah but I'm sure EarthQuake tested it before. Or he can, that way he will find out how it will look like in-game.
