Is there any way to shut down the flames in the corridor that you meet the first imp back in the start of the game?

Also I saw a valve shutdown panel a little bit further but what's the code?

Well it's in one of the logs you need to progress - I believe in Frank Delahue's.
He's talking about pipes that start dangerous fires and about a failure code.
You know he has more than *one* audio log don't you?
