Pete The Padre Posted September 6, 2005 Do you need a script to make marines NOT shoot you and just shot the bad guys?! i can't get this to work 0 Share this post Link to post
EarthQuake Posted September 7, 2005 http://www.zdoom.org/wiki/index.php?title=Thing_Hate You could probably just put it on a line and activate it by walking over it. Not sure though. 0 Share this post Link to post
Kinsie Posted September 7, 2005 I'm pretty sure 96.cab at least has a "friendly" tag when placing things. 0 Share this post Link to post
SyntherAugustus Posted September 7, 2005 yes it does. Doombuilder has it iirc. 0 Share this post Link to post
Pete The Padre Posted September 7, 2005 i tried the thing_hate but it didnt work the marine is still shooting me what am i doing wrong?! 0 Share this post Link to post
DomRem Posted September 7, 2005 Don't use Thing_Hate. Instead, do what Trasher and BlackFish mentioned and place a friendly marine. Even better, you could create a DECORATE copy that inherits from the marine with the +FRIENDLY tag added, and use that instead of the original one. 0 Share this post Link to post

SyntherAugustus Posted September 8, 2005 You dont have to double post. Anyway in Zdoom mode with Doombuilder (Doom in Hexen mode) there's an option in the thing properties to make it a friendly thing (that means you can make the marines friendly). 0 Share this post Link to post
Pete The Padre Posted September 8, 2005 oh ok ill try that thank you srry for the double post 0 Share this post Link to post
Graf Zahl Posted September 8, 2005 Friendly monsters work in Doom format as well. There's just no config for it. Remember, it was MBF which first introduced them. 0 Share this post Link to post
Pete The Padre Posted September 8, 2005 im not finding a friendly tag here...allright theres no property option that says friendly of any kind the only things there is are []easy []medium []hard []dormant []fighter class []cleric class []mage class []single []co/op thats all! 0 Share this post Link to post

SyntherAugustus Posted September 9, 2005 That I don't know about. I think that's a bug. Try it again. 0 Share this post Link to post

Try it again. i did, it won't work, i tried to launch a existing wad and then tried the same thing, this time it worked but i could only select textures that ive put into the map in the erlier version so in summary, i dont think DB recognize my DOOM2.wad 0 Share this post Link to post
SyntherAugustus Posted September 9, 2005 goto the Doom builder forum and make a note about it. 0 Share this post Link to post
TheDarkArchon Posted September 9, 2005 That bug is like ZDoom 2.0.93's Megasphere bug (Impossible to miss and everybody is reporting it.) Pete: Copy the ZDoom(Doom in Hexen)format config for 1.67 (Stick it in a safe place), reinstall 1.66, then replace the ZDoom(Doom in Hexen) config with the 1.67 one you've put away previously. 0 Share this post Link to post

TheDarkArchon Posted September 10, 2005 Your supposed to paste it into a lump called DECORATE. Then place thing 30000 down in Doom Builder 0 Share this post Link to post

TheDarkArchon Posted September 10, 2005 Ok. 1. Open your WAD in XWE. 2. Goto Entry > New 3. Name the new lump DECORATE 4. Paste what I give you into the DECORATE lump. 5. Save the changes to the lump and quit XWE. 0 Share this post Link to post
