doom maps vs quake maps

which is easier to use. i know quake maping well but i find doo mapping very hard to do. i dont understand doom maping but quake mapping comes easy to me.

DOOM maps are easier to make, since it's all in 2D.

Quake is harder because it's real 3D.

Although some of the EDGE stuff I'm making is quite 3D, it's easy to make in a 2D editor. It would take twice as long to make the same thing in Quake (for me at least).
