well im nowhere being new to doom, i am new to editing...i was wondering if ne of u could help me with the what is the best way to go about it..thx...

Download an editor or two to find one you may like (http://www.doomworld.com/files/editors.shtml#leveleditors), try the tutorials that come with the editor.

If you get the hang of the basics, try the DOOM World tutorials: http://www.doomworld.com/tutorials/index.shtml

Be sure to examine levels that you like, see how they did it, and try to immitate it. There are 7+ years of examples of all kind on the net, use them all.
