Xyzzу Posted February 15, 2017 For one, what does someone mean when they say a map looks "spartan"? And also can anyone point me to a WhackEd4 tutorial on custom monsters and weapons? 0 Share this post Link to post

Doomkid Posted February 15, 2017 Essentially, spartan means "sparse" when we're talking about mapping. It is not possible to add extra enemies using WhackEd, you have to use Decorate for that. You can only change the behavior, stats and graphics of existing enemies. 0 Share this post Link to post
Xyzzу Posted February 15, 2017 Thanks guy for the info! I guess I'll just edit the wolfenstein ss and comender keen then. 0 Share this post Link to post
scifista42 Posted February 15, 2017 A general DEHACKED tutorial can be found here. Editing monsters consists of editing properties of thing types in the Thing table and states in the State table. Editing weapons consists of editing stats in the Weapon table and states in the State table. See how stock monsters and weapons are defined in those tables, get familiar with how thing/weapon properties, states and state functions work, and that should make you understand how it works and able to edit them for your purposes. 0 Share this post Link to post
