Gods of Doom

This may seem like a silly question but- Do you ever wander if someone like Carmack, Romero, Willits, Peterson or Mcgee have been and had a little go at deathmatching over say Doom connector or IDE????? Has anyone been on in the last few years and claimed this? Or do you think that after years of talking about and being questioned about doom most of them may now be totally sick to death of the game????

It probabally happened during Doom's development. They claimed to be playing DM instead of finishing the game, which is beliveable.

Romero has been seen recently (and by recently I mean in the last 6-12 months) in #zdaemon on freenode, and had at one point expressed interest in creating an e1 levelset with something like doombuilder. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to have grown past idle talk, but he certainly was there to say the least.

That's the only encounter I know of to have taken place at all recently.

It should be noted that while he was there, I deathmatched and beat him

I wonder what screenname he goes by now... I will be sure to keep an eye out for him, especially this friday.

If you'll look on the Skulltag site there are screens of a server he visited and it appears he simply goes by "romero."
