Doom-it launcher won't work with Doom CE as it doesn't have doom/doom2.exe;
however just about all the WADs (including Master Levels) can be used with Doom95.

What you essentially pay for, are the 21 Master Levels.
They are IMHO very high quality.

The Maximum Doom collection is of very mixed quality.
Except for more or less 200 levels, they are all avaiable on the net.
Get my Maximum Doom Reference:

... to see, what's in it.

Heh, Doom3: Mr. Smiley's Head Safari.
I remember that one, it was preinstalled, when my dad bought our first computer. :P

The master levels are very nice. Maximum DOOM is also enjoyable because of the sheer explorability of the ~2,700 levels.

Sure you can. However, when using ZDoom you may need to rebuild the nodes for one of the levels.

I'm unfamiliar with this, perhaps you could explain?

One of the levels contains a node bug. In Doom.exe and most ports this bug is masked by some mathematically incorrect code to determine on which side of a line a point lies. ZDoom has changed this code for performance reasons but with this code one particular spot that lies directly on the broken node line where the player teleports to gets assigned to an incorrect sector and the player gets stuck in the floor.

I see, so the problem isn't caused by an error in the map itself, it's caused by the way the nodes were originally built.

Do you remember which level it was?

If it's one level out of a few thousand, I'm not worried.

I can't wait for my copy of master levels to come... I know that my college caps bandwidth out of the university, so I will have to resort to playing maps like I did in the mid90s when I didn't even play online.
