Has anyone considered the possibility that the locations were just chosen because they sound cool?

Also Phobos and Deimos translates to fear and terror respecively and are names of greek twin gods. This too rather fits the whole Doom thing. Less the greek bit but just what they mean.

To be more explicit: the texture depicts a bubbling liquid's surface. Liquid seen from below would be very different.

The movie is complete garbage, and absolutely irrelevant as it has no bearing on the classic Dooms at all.
