For Doom 3 to truly please me, it would have to have...

1.) Daikatana's gameplay (sans sidekicks)
2.) Half-Life's atmosphere and plot presentation
3.) Unreal Tournament's weapon balance and multiplayer

I played the demo and I'm gonna grab the full version whenever I can. I fail to see why this game is shunned so much. I haven't had so much fun with an FPS since I first played through Hexen all the way, and I've only played the three demo levels.

if you like the demo, then you can't go wrong picking it up with it's LOW price.

I'd go on about what I like about just the demo levels right now, but I think I'll save that for a separate topic later, same way I'll do my HalfLife review when I finally get done with it.
